CHAPTER 45

Blaze's POV

I WAS BUSY READING SOME PAPER WORKS when Alice came in my office. I didn't looked at her and just let her go in. She stood in front of my table and smiled sweetly. I only gave her a glance and continue what I am doing.

"Hi, boss. Big day, right?" She said.

I didn't looked at her and I don't fucking care about what day it is. Probably she has a date with that militar. Lagi naman niya kasama ang lalaking iyon. She's always out and coming home late.

"Huy, kuya. Hindi namamansin." She said and took the paper I am holding. I quickly glared at her. "Init naman ng ulo mo."

"What do you want?" I asked her.

She smiled. "Samahan mo ako later--."

"Ayoko."

"Luh, hindi pa nga ako tapos sa sinasabi ko."

"And I said no, you may leave." I said and turned my chair.

"Sungit." She said and stormed out.

I sighed when I heard the door closed. My phone began to ring, kaya napatingin ako sa phone ko at tinignan kung sino ang tumatawag. I saw my mother's name.  I took a deep breath and answered the call.

["Aze! My baby!"]

"Hey, mom." I greeted her.

["Happy birthday, anak"] She said.

"Thanks, mom." I said.

["Just called to greet you, baby. Mommy can't visit you may inaasikaso kasi ako."]

"It's fine, mom. I understand, I'm busy too." I said to her.

["Got to go, Blaze. See you later."] She said and ended the call.

That was kinda weird.

Mom is weird today. Whenever she greets me, she'll always find a way to add the topic "when will I get a married or have a child." Now, I haven't heard to for days. Well, maybe she's defeated of annoying me.

I rolled my eyes and looked at the date of my phone. March 27, my birthday. Once a year other people are happy whenever their birthdays come, but for me? I don't fucking care about it.

I have no plans for today, but just to work all day. Nothing special about today, feels like a normal day to me.

All day, I focused on working. I attended every meeting I needed to and I finished every paper needed for tomorrow. I'm now in my office waiting for time. I wanted this day to end so badly. I am glad no one of my friends bothered to go here and annoy me.

"Kuya, mauuna na ako? I have to do something pa." Alice said to me as she went in.

"Sure, ingat." I said and leaned onto my chair and closed my eyes.

"Sure kang ayaw mo sumama?" She asked.

"I'm fine here." I said.

"Weh, you sure?"

Tumayo ako. "I am, Alice."

"If you say so." She said.

I walked with her through the door. She gave me a look before going out. When she's finally out, I locked the door and took a deep breath.

Habang nakapikit ako ay napansin ko na iba talaga ang araw ko ngayon. Before, Blaine and Alice always annoy me til the day ends. Brix will visit me, tatambay lang. My friends will come and annoy me, but now wala silang lahat.
