bokuto let out a sigh of relief finding the younger talking with kaori.
he had been looking everywhere in the building trying to find the other. he felt extremely guilty for pushing as hard as they did. akaashi was an assured person, he wasn't the type to change his initial answer. boktuo should've known to take the first 'no' as an answer.
he waited for akaashi's and kaori's conversation to end, not wanting to interrupt. kaori eventually excused herself, leaving just him and akaashi in the hallway. akaashi turned around, his eyes locking onto bokuto's. god, he wished he could tell what the other was thinking.
"bokuto-san," akaashi acknowledged. "excuse me," he said giving a small bow.
he went to walk past bokuto but the other wasn't going to let him just slip away. he grabbed akaashi's wrist, stopping him in his tracks.
akaashi turned back around, his eye brow raised.
bokuto let go of his wrist, seeing that he had the other's attention now."i just um, wanted to apologize about earlier," he started. "i shouldn't have pushed you to do something you obviously didn't want to do, so i'm extremely sorry about that. it was unprofessional of me to do. i wont ask something like that of you ever again." he held his breath as he waited for a response.
akaashi gave him a small, awkward smile, "it's not your fault, i know you weren't doing it to be rude. you were just trying to do what was best for your company."
"yeah, at the expense of you."
akaashi thought about it for a second, "if i was in your position i would do the same. i know how important this launch is to you so don't worry about it, i'm not mad. i was just...fed up in the moment."
"i can't blame you," bokuto sighed. "me and kohona can be real pricks at times."
"tell me about it," akaashi laughed. "but yeah, don't worry about it, i'm not mad," he repeated sincerely.
bokuto gave him a small smile. there was a moment of silence before bokuto spoke.
"are you still willing to help figure this modeling thing all out? if not i completely understand," he added quickly.
the last thing he wanted to do was make akaashi even more uncomfortable by making him continue to work on a project he wasn't interested in.
"well...about that. i was talking with kaori about something," he started. "and i think i found a model for the set."
bokuto's head tilted slightly, intrigued.
"who is it?"
"oikawa tooru."
bokuto felt his mouth drop open.
"oikawa tooru?" he repeated.
akaashi nodded slowly.
"you mean...the oikawa tooru? one of the top supermodels in japan? scratch that- the world?"
"the one and only."
bokuto thought the room was going to collapse in on him.
"how in god's name did you get oikawa tooru to agree to modeling for us?"
akaashi shrugged, "he's a childhood friend of mine and he owes me a few favors. figured i would use one of those favors for something important."
bokuto took in all the information. oikawa tooru, one of the world's renowned supermodels, was going to model for his campaign. on top of all of that, his secretary akaashi was friends with the dude.
"i- i'm not even sure what to say," bokuto fumbled.
"you can start by saying either 'yes' or 'no'" akaashi smiled.
"yes, oh my fucking god yes. i'd have to be a moron to turn him down."
"good, because kaori already gave me the green light to let him on set. lucky for us, oikawa was back in the area so he said he can be here by tomorrow."
"tomorrow...holy shit i don't even know what to say. thank you so much akaashi," he felt like this was unreal.
"don't mention it. like i said, that jerk owes me some favors," he huffed.
bokuto was interested in how close these two were. he figured at least close enough since akaashi could freely call him a jerk in a joking way.
"well, there has to be something i can do to thank you," bokuto stated not going to let akaashi's help go to waste.
akaashi thought about it for a moment before a smile came onto his face, "how about you just owe me a favor sometime in the future."
bokuto shook his head, a smile also appearing on his face.
"you have yourself a deal."
