"good afternoon ladies and gentlemen, my name is bokuto koutarou, ceo of bokuto fashions. so glad you all could make it to this highly anticipated and esteemed event that was graciously put on by the tokyo art institute. i am very excited to be here today to give you all the first sneak peek to our upcoming launch of our new collection entitled 'heritage: an homage,'" bokuto spoke gesturing up to the huge screen on the wall that now displayed the promotional photos for the line.
various sounds of ohh's and ahh's escaped from the audience members mouths, as well as other whispers of excitement. the screen continued to flip through the photos, each one charismatically displaying the clothing.
"as you can see," bokuto continued, "this line draws heavy inspiration from our ancestors before us to modernize the japanese kimono we all know and love..."
"the concept is certainly amazing, is it not?" akaashi heard someone ask over his shoulder.
he turned to look at who spoke. it was a reporter (or at least akaashi assumed due to the camera and notepad) who was probably somewhere in his mid to late 30's. he had neatly trimmed black hair and was dressed in a simple black tux.
"yes, it certaintly is," akaashi smiled.
"i'm masaki miyano," he introduced holding out his hand.
"akaashi keiji," he said shaking the man's hand, not failing to miss how the others hand lingered a little too long.
"i hate to ask, but are you a model by chance? or someone famous? it's just you look oddly familiar," masaki asked.
"it's okay, and no i'm not. i'm actually bokuto-san's secretary," he gestured up to the stage where the other was speaking.
"ah my bad, i must be thinking of someone else then."
they stood watching bokuto who continued to give more information about the launch.
"...and as our way to say thanks to the tokyo art institute and give proper respects to our 'heritage,' we're donating 18% of the profits made from the line to the institute so they can continue to recover and restore old artifacts."
a round of applause sounded.
"truly impressive," masaki mumbled scribbling something down on his notepad.
"...thank you everyone for your attention, please enjoy the rest of your night here. don't hesitate to come and ask me or any of my associates questions about the clothing line. thank you, have a wonderful night," bokuto bowed, walking off stage.
the two men joined in on the final applause.
"surely a launch to look forward to," masaki noted. he wrote a few more things down on his notepad before turning his attention back towards akaashi.
"would you like to head over to the bar and talk a bit more? i'd love to know a bit more about you," he smiled.akaashi shook his head, "no thank you," he politely declined, "i'm not much of a drinker."
he smile persisted, "it won't take long, i promise," he said placing a hand on akaashi's waist leading him towards the slowly filling bar.

bokuto came off the stage, immediately receiving various compliments as he made his way through the crowd. a few people stopped to talk to him alongside multiple reporters who wanted to learn more insider knowledge to get a lead on the other competitors.
he eventually made his way to where kuroo and kenma was standing.
"how'd i do?" bokuto asked.
"perfect," kuroo said giving him a pat on the back. "everyone around us have been saying nothing but good things. i think you really impressed them," he complemented.
