Ei's POV
"I'm still confused as to why Miko isn't with you but with that man over there, Ayato," Kokomi stated as she sat with me in the cafeteria. "Did you guys have an argument when I left?"
"Well, a small argument," I sighed. "Who is that Ayato, I've never seen him before," I asked.
True, it's my first time seeing the man with the light blue slightly long hair; wow, they look happy.
"Do you know Ayaka?" she said, and I nodded. "He's Ayaka's older brother,"
"Ah, so he's a descendant of the renowned vampire clan, the Kamisato's," I said. I've heard of them; they're skilled at swordsmanship, hunt their prey, and are extremely attractive.
"How did he get so close... to Miko?"
It hurts my chest to see them so close, so friendly, so happy; it seems like my chest is tightening. I mean, my friend is being stolen from me.
"Ayato recently transferred and he is our new classmate, and his seatmate was Miko, so they got along," Kokomi explained. "Why? Are you jealous?" she said, smirking.
"M-me? Jealous? No way," I sneered. Jealousy? No way am I jealous.
Am I jealous? Is this jealousy? I'm furious with Ayato for spending so much time with Miko. I suppose I'm jealous because my friend is being taken from me.
"I know what you're thinking," Kokomi chuckled. "Do you really think Miko as a friend?" she said.
"Yes, why?" Why would she ask that? Miko is a friend of mine. I mean, she's my only friend now that I've been separated from the other three.
"Try to think more about your feelings and emotions," she said. "Does seeing Miko smiling like that with another person hurt your heart?" she asked. "Does your heart beat faster when you see her or are with her? Does it feel like time stops when you stare at her?"
Yes
When I'm near her, I feel so...nervous. It's not because of the scent of her blood that makes me uneasy. It's just her... presence. Her presence makes me nervous; it's not a bad thing, but I'm not sure why.
She even looks effortlessly beautiful right now, and I wish I was the source of that lovely smile she's wearing.
"You just look like you've fallen in love right now," Kokomi giggled. "I've already seen your behaviors around Miko in the last few weeks," she said. "It's just you who isn't aware of it," she remarked as she stood up. "Good luck," and she left.
Ah, I'm in love with Yae Miko

Miko's POV
"Just so you know, I'm not interested in women," Ayato chuckled. "I can hear their whispering; we already have rumors,"
"I see," I said, chuckling. "Yes, the people here like spreading ridiculous rumors,"
"How about you, Miko?" he inquired. "Do you like women? The way you talk about that Ei person makes me think you do," he said, smiling.
"What are you saying?" I chuckled. "Ei is just a friend of mine," I said.
Well, she really is just a friend of mine.
"You're making a fool of yourself," he said. "How you talk about her is not how a friend talks about her friend," he continued. "You talk about her like if you're madly in love,"
"I assure you, she's just a friend," I said.
I don't like her that way; I simply find her attractive, handsome, and beautiful..... hot. I just like having her as a friend.
"Whatever you say, friend," he said with a grin. "I can feel her staring at us; are you sure you don't want to talk to her? Her eyes are really killing me," he said with a smile.
"I'll talk to her shortly, and I apologize for making you feel uncomfortable," I said. Why is she giving him death stares when he hasn't even done anything to me, unless she's jealous? Wait what?
"It's fine, I can handle it," he replied, "yet I can feel her holding back, her... strength, which I can't sense or clarify how powerful she is."
"What do you mean?"
"Normally, I can tell how strong the vampire I'm looking at is, but with her, it's like.... nothing, it's not letting me tell how strong she is, or who she is,"
That just adds to my suspicions that she is Dracula's daughter. Ayato comes from a prestigious family in the Vampire World, and he is certainly strong, based on his history and his power to tell how strong a vampire is merely by looking at them. But it's not working with Ei.
"Are there any rumors about her?" he inquired. Should I tell him? Maybe... He might be my accomplice. I'm just hoping Ei isn't listening in.
"Can we talk... after school, we could get eavesdropped," I asked. I must use extreme caution around all of the vampires here, including the other two races.
"Sure, I understand your worries," he smiled.

"Kamisato Ayato of the Kamisato Clan," Kokomi said with a smile. "It's a pleasure to meet you,"
"Likewise, Kokomi," he said.
Well, after school, I took Ayato to my usual meeting spot with Kokomi. Ayato may be our accomplice, assisting us in discovering the truth about Ei. I told him what I knew about Ei and the information I had gathered from Ei.
"Based on what you said, Ei may be Dracula's daughter, but from what I know, Dracula's offspring's are forbidden to be in a relationship with a human, whether friendship or lover," he remarked. "I believe that is why Ei stated she would have to leave you,"
"But," he said. "It's all with the vampires, I mean, we can be in a relationship with a human, but not for long," he explained. "I also think she said that to you for your safety," he added.
Now this is confusing. It's just like I didn't move any step further.
"Why are you guys forbidden," I asked.
"We are vampires whose meal is blood, specifically human blood, which is the richest of all," he explained. "Because we are vampires, we can't control our need for blood, which is why we can't go close to humans and must constantly carry a blood bag," he continued. "Don't worry, it's only animal blood,"
"Do you have any history books of the vampires, Ayato?" Kokomi asked.
"We do have one, the library in the basement; no other vampires, including myself and my sister Ayaka, are not permitted in there," he said. "It contains the entire history of the vampires, the war, Dracula, and his children,"
Bingo.
"Why are you guys looking at me like that?" he asked. "Oh, absolutely not,"
"Why not?" I asked.
"We're going to be in big trouble, especially you, who's a human," he said.
"We have to go into that library because it's our only chance," Kokomi said. "If we get caught, I'll talk to them,"
"Well, if Kokomi is going to talk to my family, I have no further complaints," Ayato stated.
"When are we going to that library?" I inquired.
"My parents will be on a business trip coming Saturday; that may be our only opportunity," he explained. "Our only problem is the guards, and there are two guards guarding the entrance of that library," he explained.
"Leave them to me, remember I'm a witch," Kokomi laughed.
"Well, then," I chuckled, "it's settled." I really hope everything goes well. After all, this is our one opportunity. If this plan fails, we'll have no choice but to wait for Ei to reveal her true identity.
