CHAPTER 12

"I...like you ever since," I said. "I had always liked you, but hadn't had the chance to tell you my feelings; when I heard you were leaving, my heart dropped; I didn't want you to leave me just for the sake of my safety; I wanted to be with you, in danger or worse, I don't care; I just want to be with you,"

"Miko..."

"You may not reciprocate my feelings, but I just want to ease this... huge weight in my heart; I don't care if you reject me right now; I just want you to know how I feel, how much I like... no, how much I love you,"

I was looking down and didn't hear her say anything.

"I-i know it's stupid of me to confess... let's just pretend I didn't say anything," I murmured as I turned to walk away.

She grasped my arm, and when I looked at her, I saw tears in her eyes. Is... Is my confession so horrible that it made her cry? "W-what?"

"You didn't even wait for me to say anything," she said as she drew me into her arms. She hugged me again, but this time she hugged me tightly, as if she's terrified, as if she's trembling, and I can feel it in her arms.

"In fact," she trembled, "I'm so fucking happy that I can die just from what you said." What exactly does she mean? What does she mean... Does she like me back?

"The first time I saw you... I... was drawn to you," she said. "At first, it was because your blood smelt so sweet that... I almost... lost control." "I know it's horrible, but I managed to control myself; but when I saw you having problems because Itto is making trouble, I simply couldn't help but... act quickly and like protect you from any harm, it was unusual for me, this was the first time I felt something peculiar to a human."

"But when I talked to Kokomi one time, she helped me realize what my feelings were... and from the thought of it, I became terrified, I got scared that I may put you in harm's way just because of these... feelings of mine," she explained. "And I did put you in danger; vampires and werewolves know who you are, and they're making you a target, kind of holding you hostage so they can have something against me," she said. I can feel her trembling, her voice wavering, her knees appearing to be weak, and even her arms that are clutching me shaking.

"But... when I saw you hanging out with someone, the smile you used to wear when you're with me, you wear it with that other person, I couldn't help but feel infuriated, irritated, and jealous," she said. Pfft, so vampires can be jealous, how cute of her.

"And you can't control it anymore, so you revealed yourself to me?"

"Yes,"

"Oh, Ei," I said, clutching her face in my hands. I rubbed her cheeks, which had traces of tears on them. "I'm happy you showed yourself to me and... expressed your actual feelings to me; no words can convey how happy I am right now," I added as I kissed her cheek. "I don't care if I get in trouble; don't underestimate me; I can handle them," I chuckled. "All I want is for you to stick by my side, and I will always be by your side,"

Despite the fact that tears were streaming from her eyes, she smiled. This woman... I didn't expect her to cry, but she's a real softie. She's so adorable right now that I can't help but kiss her again.

"Let's face those troubles together, okay? There's no way I'm going to let you leave me again and I'm going to leave you," I said. "Did you get that?"

"Yes," she chuckled.

"There's that smile," I said, smiling. "Are you now my...girlfriend?"

"Yes, I am yours and you are mine," she replied as she kissed my lips, "I love you...so much, and I vow in my life that I will not allow anybody hurt you, and you will always be safe and protected while I'm by your side," she continued. "If they have hurt you, consider their lives to be over,"

"My vampire is very protective," I said, smiling. "Will you kill them for me?"

Wow, the sadistic side of mine is showing up.

"Yes,"

"I love you, Ei," I said as I kissed her. Kissing her... is nice It's warm, it's sweet despite the fact that I can feel her fangs, it's hot, and it's sexy. Is it strange....that I want her to bite me?

"Ei," I muttered as I drew away from the kiss. "As much as I want to kiss you, my feet hurt," I chuckled.

"Oh," she exclaimed. "How impolite of me to treat my... guest in this manner," she laughed as she carried me in a bridal way. "Should we... go inside and continue with our... business?"

"Yes, please,"

Is it another cliffhanger?! HAHAHA I'm sorry but the next chapter will be a chapter of THEM doing IT.
