PAW Patrol: The Xonia's Adventures

Chapter 25

Night came, temperatures outside the chalet dropped by many degrees. The animals began to find shelter for the night, people began to dine or to prepare dinner, the workers went home, I can say it was an evening like any other.

Our protagonists were eating, everyone was silent, you could only hear the noise of cutlery and mouths chewing food. Everyone except Fiez and Arzio understood that there was something wrong, there was a strange tension in the air.

After dinner, Fiez decided to leave the chalet to get some fresh air and clear his mind. He took an old wool coat and an old hat to protect his head from the cold.

He opened the door and went out, first he lifted his head and was amazed. There was a large full moon that shone in the night sky and there were stars that covered most of the sky. He stood for a few minutes admiring the sky, then I noticed that there was something under a tree near a ledge. He decided to approach slowly to understand what it was.

As he approached that thing, Fiez noticed that it was a silhouette of a dog, which made Fiez calm down but his mind wondered: what if he wasn't a member of the PAW Patrol?
They get even closer to the shape until it was a few meters away. Fiez looked closer and realized it was Chase.
What was he doing here in the middle of the night, and why was he here all alone?

Fiez walked over to the pastor and sat down next to him. At first he didn't consider it but then Fiez started talking.

"It's beautiful the moon tonigh, right?" Fiez said to start a conversation with Chase.

"Yes, it's beautiful" Chase replied continuing to look at the sea in the distance.
From Jake's mountain you can see the whole surrounding area, you can see Adventure Bay, the nearby woods, roads, the sea, the bay and many other things.

"What are you doing here, alone, at night and in the cold?" 

"Many nights when I lived on the lookout in Adventure Bay, I would get out of my puphouse and go under a tree, look at the sea, think, clear my head and relax."

"I understand you, even during the missions I go out at night, I put myself under a tree and I relax, sometimes I happened to fall asleep." Fiez said giggling in the last part.

"Now that you have finished your mission, what will you do?"

"I have a plan, but I can't tell you yet. What will you do instead?"

"I will help Ryder rebuild the PAW Patrol and our old lives. And I'll try to..."

"Winning Skye's Heart?"

"How do you know that?"

"Let's say i noticed a certain feeling between you two and i thought you were in love with her. Only intuition." 

"I will try to declare myself to her, but I don't know if it will work. What if in the past five years she had fallen in love with someone. What if he doesn't like me or rejects me?

"Chase stay calm, you can't know how it's going to go until you ask her."

"Okay, I'll calm down." Chase said taking deep breaths.

Ten minutes passed, in which Chase and Fiez talked and joked. Then Fiez remembered that we had to talk to his robot.

"Now I leave you alone, I have to go talk to Arzio to resolve our quarrel."

"I understand, goodluck whit that."

"See you later Chase."

Fiez got up and went back into the chalet. Chase decided to sit on the porch of the chalet so as not to get too cold.
