Chapter 29

The two teams went downstairs via an elevator that took them to a long and wide corridor, the corridor was cold and dark. The lighting had been turned off and many lights had been broken, perhaps on purpose.

Fiez orders Arzio to search for the cell section, and free the remaining members of the PAW Patrol. Instead, Chase's team had to make their way to the machine room.

The two teams wasted no time and began to move. The two squads headed towards the end of the corridor, Arzio's squad went left, and Chase's squad right.

Rocky POV

My team and i were walking towards the cells, as i walked i wondered why the structure was in this state, the lights were broken, the floor was partly wet and it was dark.

To see something we need torches. Arzio said to be careful because the dark was a perfect place to make ambushes, besides there were some cameras that Arzio shot to avoid being identified.

"We are almost twenty meters away from the cell room." Jake said whit a low voice.

"Yes, I can't wait to see our friends again." Rubble he said in a high tone of voice.

We all turned to Rubble and waved him to shut up. Rubble apologized and we kept walking.

Arzio turned the corner and made sure no one was there. When he was sure there was no soldier, he motioned for us to join him.
We found ourselves in front of a closed door with writing on it 'cells room'.

Arzio asks Jake to light up the door opening panel with his flashlight. Then an instrument came out of Arzio's robotic body and connected to the panel.

We were all stunned, no member of the PAW Patrol had ever seen Arzio use his robot tools. Arzio I'll hack the door and open it in no time.

We all congratulated him, Arzio blushed but returned to being serious because you hear noises beyond the door. I got worried, thought someone was hurting my friends on the other side of this door.

Jake broke down the door and we all entered. What we saw was a well-lit room with a dozen of Humdinger's soldiers who members caged some of the PAW Patrol.

"Who are you!?" The captain asked frustated by the presence of Arzio's team

"We are the PAW Patrol and you have to free those dogs, it's over for you. The base is surrounded." Ryder said at the captain.

As the discussion progressed, I observed the cells and who was inside.
There were two large cells, in which Carlos and Katie were, and several medium-sized cells.
In the medium-sized cells I was able to see Rex, Wild, Copycat and Arrby. Instead, in two cages next to the soldiers were Tuck and Ella

I wondered why Copycat and Arrby were inside the cells, they weren't on the bad side?

"Give us those two dogs and we may not kill you." Arzio said whit a angry tone.

"I say you should have given us your dogs and your human friends." The captain said making the other soldiers laugh.

Arzio was about to fire his rifle when the ground shook, the frightened soldiers took the Twins' cages and ran away, leaving us in the room.
The ground stopped shaking after a short time. Ryder asked Arzio about why the ground was shaking, he replied that perhaps the volcano was about to erupt.

"The earthquake has passed, let's free your friends and chase those soldiers." Arzio orded.

We freed our friends, they were injured but they were also happy to see us.

"Guys! What are you doing here?" Wild asked.

"It's a very long story, but we are happy to see you guys." I said.
