Good afternoon readers. I bring you the first of two updates for today, June 16th. Please enjoy.
Over the next few days, I weaved the boys a new basket, but they barely used it. They were fully mobile and preferred it that way. I set the basket in a corner and grumbled. Ungrateful kids.
I tried to secretly work on the hawks' clothes. Rowan's getting a tiger striped sleeveless robe and Alec's getting a deer pelt robe. I think the sleeveless robes will rock and be less of a bitch to make than the ones with sleeves. I need to try new designs anyway. Got to increase this skill level. Winston and Shuu are getting robes as soon as I get my hands on more fur.
Qingqing visited several times, usually with Parker. Sometimes, Muir would the lucky one. I laughed to myself like a psycho. Curtis is going to love this. Their problem, not mine. Qingqing gave me a look and I snickered some more.
I had been nice so far. I hadn't teased her about her hawk. Instead, I got Qingqing to fess up and admit she slept with Parker. Well, she didn't use her words, but her face was a dead giveaway.
It was snowing again and I chased giant snowflakes with the kids. I was winning. I had the height advantage and could catch them before they reached the boys' attack range.
We built snowmen and had snowball fights. It wasn't the first time I'd seen snow, but I never got to enjoy it. This stuff was fluffy and a bitch to walk through. Me and the kids sank right down earning some laughs from the family.
Snowshoes were made to the best of me and Qingqing's knowledge. They functioned well enough. I felt like a moron walking around with tennis rackets attached to the feet, but they worked. The kids learned real fast and magically frolicked through the snow. Not fair. They were natural born winners.
While the kids were distracted I made some balls. When I had sufficient ammo, I nailed them. They got excited and I ran from them, laughing and taunting my two-month-olds, like a nutcase.
"Hah! What's wrong kids? No hands? Too bad! Learn to dodge!" They caught up and jumped me. Snow shoes were impossible to run in!
I fell face first into the snow as the little shits jumped on my back in victory. I tried to roll over and dump them, but they had sharper reflexes. They bounded out of reach before I could dump and grab them. They looked super smug and I needed to fix that.
"Winston, wanna help a girl out?" He was by my side in two seconds. I wiped the snow off my face as Alec laughed at me. I grabbed ammo and Winston lifted me up.
"Yo Alec, you're on the boy's team." I have to be fair, right? Time to plaster snow all over a hawk. Everything spiraled down from there, in the best way possible.
Qingqing, Parker, Alec, Harvey, and the boys on one side. Me, Winston, and Shuu on the other. Rowan played referee again. I aimed for Qingqing and Alec the whole time and Shuu was entirely focused on Alec. I had to toss a few towards Harvey and the boys so they wouldn't feel left out.
I laughed my ass off when Winston managed to pitch one right into Harvey's face. Winston was a multipurpose unit. He could carry me and shoot off a few rounds here and there, all while dodging. Parker was the same, but was doing a shittier job.
He would and could protect Qingqing from the snowballs, but often ate them instead. So I targeted her on purpose. Shuu got Alec for me and their war was too intense for my interference.
"Eat that bitch!" Parker got another headshot that was meant for Qingqing.
"You are doing that on purpose!" Of course I am.
