Lucy de Fiore's POV

Cold.

That's the first thing I felt as I opened my eyes. I surveyed my surroundings carefully.

It's so dark I can barely see anything. I tried touching the space around me and found out that I'm in a stone cell.

As I tried to sit up, shackles could be heard. I looked down to my hands and noticed that they were cuffed together with a chain binding to the cobbled wall.

God, why.

"Guys!" I cried out.

No response.

I clicked my tongue in frustration, "What is going on here?" I muttered under my breath.

I squinted my eyes in the dark surroundings to find anything that could be useful. However, there was nothing except a small window at the top of the cell.

I tugged the chains violently to try and break free. I pushed myself away from the wall with the force of my foot.

Magically, it worked.

The chains are slowly breaking off from the gaps of the stone wall.

I pulled harder and the chains came off. Due to the impact, I flew to the other side of the cell and hit my back fiercely against the metal gate.

"Ouch!" I winced in pain.

I recovered quickly and grabbed onto the poles of the gate and took a quick look outside. Besides the small fire torch perched on the wall, there were only empty cells outside. It seemed like I was the only one on this level.

Just then, I noticed that the gate was slightly rusty.

"If I can hit it with enough force, I just might be able to escape." I thought to myself.

Taking a few steps back, I sucked in a deep breath before charging at the gate.

clank

"Ouuuuuuch! That really freaking hurts." I cussed as I tried to soothe my shoulder.

At least I managed to make a dent.

"Alright, one more time." I encouraged myself.

I breathed in again before charging.

clank clank

The metal poles fell apart and I pumped my fists in the air. I did a small victory dance before I started to run towards the stairs.

Then, I moved up stealthily on the stone staircase while checking each levels for any presence quickly.

This place is seriously eerie. There's nothing but torches and more empty cells. Chills kept going down my spine as I ascended the stairs.

Just when I reached another floor, I could hear soft whispers. I hid behind a wall quickly and took a quick peek.

"Quickly! We have to find the Princess!" Leo pestered.

"Be quiet you idiot, what if they noticed us?" Aquarius whispered sharply.

"Just a little longer," Virgo muttered as she slowly picked the lock.

ka-chink!

"We're out." Scorpio cheered.

"Good job Virgo. Now let's make haste." Capricorn said.

"Guys!" I whispered-yelled.

Their heads snapped in my direction and their features broke into a huge relief. "Princess!" They said.

"I'm so glad you're safe." I said as I hugged them.

"Are you hurt anywhere Princess?" Leo asked as he did a quick check on my body for any physical wounds.

I shook my head, "No, but we need to get out of here fast."

"She's right, we can enjoy our reunion later." Libra said.

"Alright then, let's move quietly." Leo instructed. We nodded.

--

We moved as quietly as possible up the stairs with occasional stops to check for any enemy presence.

"Coast's clear, let's move." I whispered. They nodded in acknowledgement. Just when I was about to move up the stairs, a loud clap resounded from the back.

All of us looked back in shock but there was no one there.

"Where do you think you're going, Your Highness?"

We snapped our heads back in front and saw the same old woman from before. She smiled in a unsettling way.

"You-!" I said before I was interrupted.

"Goodness, we haven't showed you our hospitality yet and you're already leaving? Come, I'll escort you to your rooms, we'll treat you to the best of our abilities." The old woman grinned sinisterly.

Leo stood in front of me protectively and the rest followed suit.

"Rooms? You mean cells to lock us up." Scorpio said aggressively.

"You can put it that way if u want to. Didn't you notice that I said 'rooms' instead of 'cells' to make you feel better about your current situation?" The old woman said it as if it was a matter-of-fact.

"Don't underestimate us you hag." Aquarius snarled.

The smile on the village head's face disappeared completely as she narrowed her eyes, "Hag? My my, I wanted to let all of you to die painlessly, but it seems like I've changed my mind." She hissed.

We got into our battle stance. "Come at us old thing!" Taurus taunted relentlessly.

"Enough is enough children. Return back to your rooms immediately." She said in a dangerously low tone.

Leo stood in front and drew out his sword, "You definitely don't have the prettiest smile, lady." He smiled in a cynical way, ignoring her words completely.

"Enough!" She yelled before she charged at us.

Each side let out a battle cry before the fight began.

Sting Roman's POV

"So we're here." I said as I pulled the reins of my horse to stop its tracks.

"This place looks disgusting." Rogue said in a uncomfortable manner.

"Let's just finish this quickly." I said dully.

"Yeah, I don't want to stay here for too long." Rogue said as he made a disgusted expression.

"Yeah." I replied.
