Lucy de Fiore's POV
"Let's go out." I suggested.
"What?" Sting looked at me, surprised.
"Let's go out, it's going to be our first date." I grinned.
He squeezed my hands tighter and said in concern, "I don't think we should going out when you literally just got stabbed. Rest, I'll be right by your side."
Feeling a bit childish today, I pouted and stared at him, "Let's go out. I want to be with you alone."
His face turned red and he looked at me shyly, "Don't say words like that with such a cute face. It's bad for my heart."
I inched my face closer and asked hopefully, "So are we going out?"
Sting scratched the back of his neck nervously before he finally gave in, "Alright alright. But you got to promise me that we will head back the moment I think that you're not okay." I nodded enthusiastically and grabbed his hand and made a dash for the door, "Let's go!" I ran down the hallway, passing by Leo and Aries along the way.
"Princess! Where do you thin-"
I cut off Leo's sentence and said apologetically, "Forgive me just this once, Leo."
I flashed him a beaming smile before I continued running to the outside. I opened the door and it the wind blew, causing my skirt to flow along. Sting ran forward and smiled like a like a little boy, "Come Lucy, I'll bring you to somewhere nice." He stretched out his hand.
My heart soared at the smile I've missed for years. I took his hand gladly as he pulled me in for a gentle hug before he carried me bridal style. I yelped in surprise and gripped onto his vest. Sting leaned in and kissed my forehead and showed me another of his heart-warming smiles, "Let's go."
He ran forward in full-force and I laughed in excitement.
I've never been so happy in years.
I gazed up and his lovely face and observed every feature carefully. I smiled in bliss as I leaned closer to his heart.
His heartbeat is a melody to my ears.

"We're here, Lucy." Sting said softly.
I opened my eyes and a bustling town was right before my eyes. The streets and shops were far too familiar to me. "Isn't this the Capital of Crocus?" I said excitedly.
"It is." Sting smiled, "Feels like the old times doesn't it?"
I nodded.
He put me down gently as I looked around the town in awe. "The inn you were in just now was actually at an isolated corner of Crocus. Figured it would be a nice change of pace for you if we came here." Sting said.
"Put on these." Sting threw me a cloak.
I put it on and thanked him. He laced his fingers with mine and beamed, "Let's walk around the town." I nodded.
We walked down the cobbled path with people scattered everywhere, making the town livelier. Music was all around us and the whole town felt like it was alive.
We made many stops into coffee shops and shop stands. As we entered a bakery, we took off our hoods and allow the aroma of freshly baked breads engulf us. The shop owner was a lovely plump lady. She stood by the counter and looked at us kindly.
When Sting and I finally managed to pick the breads we wanted, we headed to the counter for payment. The old lady giggled and said, "It's on the house for a cute couple like you guys! Being young sure feels nice."
We blushed at her casual comment. We thanked her before exiting the shop as we heard faint words behind the closed door, "Do come again!"
"Lucy, follow me. I'll bring you to somewhere you might like."
He took me by the hand and walked to the corner of the town. The sun was setting slowly, but surely; and soon, it was nightfall. We finally arrived at a church that looked too familiar. "This might not be the same one at Magnolia but it looks the same doesn't it?"
My breath came out shakily, "Yes."
It's hard to believe that I'm here again with the one I love.
We pushed the doors opened together and the dust gathered at the other end of the door danced in the air. Sting looped my arm around his and smiled at me blissfully, "This is going to be practice for now, until the real thing."
My heart warmed at his gesture and I could feel tears welling up my eyes.
He walked down the aisle with a peaceful look and I followed his footsteps. We arrived at the platform and he held both of my hands and rubbed soothing circles with his thumb. He closed his eyes and repeated the exact words on that night, "...and I vow my eternal love to you." We synced.
Sting opened his eyes and gazed at me lovingly. He leaned in for a gentle kiss and breathed, "I love you."
I smiled and replied, "I love you too Sting."
--
We walked back to the inn on the moonlit path hand in hand and looked at each other happily. It was a fulfilling day and it really was memorable. "I won't ever forget this day, the day where we managed to make lots of new memories."
"I won't either. It's the day where I could actually call you mine." Sting replied without hesitation.
I blushed.
He chuckled at my reaction and squeezed my hand, "Well, let's head back before Leo comes for my head."
I giggled and replied, "Yes, let's."
Just then, faint footsteps could be heard approaching us. Sting stood in front of my protectively and said soft enough for me to hear, "Stay back."
I peeked over his shoulders and that person's silhouette became clearer.
No way...
"Natsu?" I called out cautiously.
Natsu finally stood in front of Sting with bloodshot eyes and eyed on me as if I was a prey, he smiled at my presence. I felt uneasy at his different demeanour.
"Hello Lucy."
My heart skipped a beat at his hoarse voice.
That was it, this day marked the start of my worst mistake.
I could've prevented it,
But,
I was too careless.
