Lucy de Fiore's POV

"Lucy." He greeted and smiled at me.

I was still shocked beyond words. What is he doing here?

"What are you doing here?" I asked as I continued to fight off the army.

He paused for a while before giving me a forced smile. I never said anything afterwards and kept my eyes on Michelle. She was still on the ground, not moving a single inch.

"Did you kill her?" A man with raven hair asked Sting with a blank face.

Sting shook his head quickly and denied, "I didn't hit her that hard."

As I cleared the area around us, Leo and the rest slowly joined me, leaving fallen soldiers behind them. We quickly tend to Aquarius before settling down at the dungeon.

"So who is this?" Leo asked as he gave a sharp look towards Sting and his companion.

He's starting to get protective.

I looked at Sting to see if it was okay to introduce him. He nodded and smiled. Then, I returned my gaze to Leo and everyone else, "This is Sting Roman, my childhood playmate. And um that gentleman is..." I trailed off intentionally and stared at Sting.

"He's Rogue, my partner." Sting replied and Rogue gave me a slight nod of acknowledgement.

"Hmm, Sting huh." Leo eyed on Sting and pointed two fingers at Sting before trailing it back to his own eyes. He scowled slightly before ushering the rest away to give us some space. Aquarius dragged Michelle across the ground harshly while they were at it.

She's holding onto a grudge.

I laughed softly at how childish they were.

"So Lucy," Sting's voice made me snap my attention back to them.

"Yeah?" I replied.

"What on earth are you doing in a dungeon?" Sting said with creased eyebrows.

I laughed nervously and replied lamely, "I don't know?"

Sting gave a loud sigh and muttered something like, "She's always like this."

"We were ambushed." I explained.

That piqued Sting's and Rogue's attention as they stopped their idle movements.

"Ambushed? Are you okay?" Sting said worriedly as he checked my body for any bad injuries.

"I'm okay. We were just passing through this town until an old lady put us to sleep with some weird spell." I explained as I recounted what happened.

Sting and Rogue looked at each other as if they were speaking just by looking into each other's eyes. Noticing their close bond, I smiled to myself.

Thank god he has someone by his side.

"Do you have any idea where that old woman is now?" Rogue asked.

I nodded and replied, "That old woman is Michelle, the lady that Sting knocked down just now." Sting and Rogue widened their eyes in surprise as I continued, "She claimed that she is a witch that was the ancestor to magic." I scratched my neck in confusion.

"Do you mind if we have her Lucy?" Sting asked in a serious tone.

I shook my head, "No, why?"

The both of them glanced at each other again until Sting gave in and sighed. He looked at me straight in the eyes before talking, "I'm just going straight to the point. Rogue and I are on a mission. Our target is that wit-I mean Michelle."

I cast my eyes down sadly and gripped my fists.

I still can't believe he's an assassin.

There was a momentary silence before I felt Sting's arms around me. When I looked up, Rogue was no longer there.

"You don't have to concern yourself with my matters Lucy. Just stay happily at the Palace and continue your duty as the Princess of Fiore." He said as he kissed my forehead softly.

"I can't stay at the Palace anymore Sting." I said sadly.

He pushed his body away from mine with his arms still around my waist and looked at me with concern, "Why?"

"I didn't tell you in detail when we met the previous times because I didn't want to worry you when you have enough to deal with on your plate." I continued.

He tucked a stray strand of hair behind my ear affectionately before gazing at me again.

"I told you that I ran away from home because I was engaged to the Dexent family right?" I said, "When I returned to the Palace to try and reason with my father, one thing led to another and I said something cruel to him..." I inhaled sharply to calm my emotions and continued, "Just like that, I left the Palace with my companions."

There was a short silence before Sting spoke.

"Your companions were the orphans you picked up last time right?" Sting said gently as he hugged me again.

I was slightly surprised that he still remembered them. After all, he was with me in the carriage when I met that group. "You remember?"

He chuckled with his deep voice and said, "Of course I do. I was swimming in jealousy when I saw how Leo stuck so closely to you." I blushed.

"But now," He breathed. "I'm sort of glad that he still sticks to you since I'm not around." His words made my chest tighten in sadness. I hugged him closer to me and inhaled his scent. "You know Lucy," He spoke softly with gentleness overflowing from his tone.

"Hm?"

"I really missed you during the times when we were apart." He said.

Tears sprung from my eyes and I wiped them away quickly before Sting noticed them. Then, I buried my face in his chest, "I missed you a lot too."

"Sometimes I just want to take you away and live somewhere far together with you." He mumbled soft enough for me to hear. I nodded in his chest.

"Say, do you still remember that night?" Sting continued.

I nodded again.

"I'm still keeping that vow," He said.

I looked up at his face and saw a small tint of pink on his cheeks. I giggled and smiled at him, "I'm still keeping that vow too." I said as I fished out the chain necklace around my neck that held my treasure. He looked surprised for a while before he revealed the same necklace with our similar engraved rings.

We bumped our foreheads together and smiled blissfully. We gazed into each other's eyes as I cupped his cheeks. "I'll be waiting for you, Sting." He held one of my hand and kissed it before proceeding to kiss my forehead again, "Wait for me, one day, I'll make you my wife."

I gazed at him as happiness was overwhelming within me, "And I'll make you my King."
