Lucy de Fiore's POV

The sun shone through the curtains as I creaked my eyes open slowly. I squinted at the bright light as my neck ached. I adjusted myself to a sitting position as I placed my palm over my neck, rubbing it to try and soothe the sore. I let out a sigh as I thought of a certain blonde man.

Why is he being like this...?

I walked towards the huge window and opened the curtains. I looked out towards to blue vast sky and it reminded me of one of the many promises we made.

---

I laid down on the soft grass beside Sting as we looked up to the skies, watching the clouds pass. None of us said a word, it was not a awkward silence. Instead, it was a rather comfortable and peaceful silence.

Then, Sting spoke up, "Hey Luce," I turned to face the boy giving him a questioning look. He looked at me back and gave a small smile, "When we grow up, why don't we run away to somewhere far far away and live together? No parents, no nothing. Just us." I tried to process what he was saying but I didn't really understand what he meant. All it matters was that he said we could live together! Without really understanding, I returned a bright smile and nodded energetically. He then held my hands with his small ones and said, "Let's be together forever okay?" I hugged him and said in a childish voice, "Yeah!"

----

I sighed again as those painful yet precious memories keep replaying over and over in my head. If only we could run away like this and live together like how we wanted.

If only we could...

The door banged open and I snapped out of my trance. I focused my attention to the noise only to find the familiar salmon head grinning, "Good morning Lucy! Breakfast is ready, come down soon." I smiled and nodded. I expected him to leave me to change like usual but he just approached me slowly with a worried expression plastered across his features, "Is something wrong?" I flinched slightly at his question.

Yeah... Everything is wrong...

Was what I want to say. But I didn't want to worry him. So I just kept my mouth shut. Then, I just shook my head and changed the subject, "Nope," I started pushing him out of the room playfully and said, "Come on, I have to change out of my pajamas. I'll meet you downstairs for breakfast." He looked unconvinced for a second before nodding. As Natsu left, I shut the doors and leaned against it. I slid down to the carpeted floor as a millions thoughts went through my mind. But only one was my priority,

"I want to see you, Sting..."

---

Soon we finished our breakfast and apparently, Natsu wanted to bring me to somewhere. He called for a carriage to bring us to his destination.

Throughout the journey, he was grinning like an idiot for the whole time, I didn't know where we were going since he only told me that we're going to a village. I giggled slightly at how much he's smiling, it's almost magical how his smiles are contagious. Thanks to that, I was smiling along with him as well.

After about one hour of traveling, we arrived at a rather beautiful village. As we walked in, a few villagers started greeting Natsu enthusiastically. I raised my brows and asked him, "You know them?" He scratched the back of his head and gave a awkward smile, "Sort of." I eyes him suspiciously, "Hmm..?" He stuttered slightly as he tried to defend himself, "Y-You'll know why soon! So stop looking at me like that, it's making me embarrassed." I laughed at his comment, making him laugh along with me.
