Lucy de Fiore's POV

After each of us packed our necessities, we went to the stable and grabbed our horses. We put on our cloaks and prepared for departure.

As our horses trot down the garden around the Palace, memories of my childhood started to flow into my mind.

---

"Don't run Lucy!" Sting panted as he tried to catch up to me.

"No! Catch me if you can!" I taunted.

While Sting tried to catch his breath, he gave me a loop-sided smile and said, "I'll catch you soon!"

From the side of my eye, I could see Mama smiling gently at us under the gazebo. I waved cheerfully at her and she gave a small wave back.

Just when I was distracted, I felt a short pair of arms around my waist, "Caught you!"

I turned around in surprise only to see the face of my most important person in the world. I giggled, "You caught me!"

Unable to balance myself well, I started to fall down to the grass, pulling Sting along with me. "Uwa!" I shrieked and shut my eyes in anticipation of the pain.

A long moment passed and I didn't feel anything. I opened one of my eye timidly and saw Sting lying flat on the ground beneath me. I quickly got up and sat beside him. "Sting!" I called out to him with tears ready to fall from my eyes.

He grinned with assurance, "I'm fine Luce, don't cry." He said as he wiped my tears away with his thumb.

"B-But.." I whimpered.

"It's alright. Look! I'm fine!" He stood up unsteadily and twirled his body around, trying to reassure me that there were no physical wounds on his body.

I looked up at him teary eyed as he put out his hand for me to grab. I grabbed it without hesitation and he pulled me in for a hug. "Don't cry Lucy, I'm right here."

I kept my silence; all I knew was that I was safe in his arms.

---

I smiled fondly at that memory. Those were the good times.

I wonder when am I going to see him again..?

"Princ-!"

"Princess!"

I turned around and Leo's face was right in front of mine. I moved my horse back abruptly, causing me to lose my balance slightly.

"Woah there, careful." Leo warned.

I smiled at him with assurance, "Thanks. What is it?" I asked.

"Nothing, just asking if we should probably move before the guards come."

Oh right.

"Oh um, yeah. Let's move." I said.

Our horses trotted out from the back entrance before going into a forest. We took a short break when we were deep enough.
