Lucy de Fiore's POV

Sting... I miss you so much.

As I was looking out of my window, footsteps were approaching my room with each step getting louder. I adjusted myself comfortably on my oversized bed as I looked at the door, waiting for it to swing open.

The doors clicked open and a petite figure entered the room, "Good morning, Your Highness, it's time for breakfast. Allow me to help you get ready." My personal chambermaid, Virgo, said curtly as she took a few steps towards me.

I smiled at her and replied, "Good morning Virgo, thank you." She smiled back and bowed before picking out my gown and accessories.

Just as she started to strip me, I sighed and scolded her, "I can do that myself, how many times do I have to say it?"

She shook her head lightly, "I'm sorry but I can't follow that order my Lady, you're the princess of Fiore, it's only expected to help you in every way I can." I sighed in defeat and let her continue with her job.

After a long thirty minutes, I was ready. I looked at myself in the mirror and said my thanks before heading to the living room.

As I arrived, I made me presence known to the king of this kingdom, Jude H. de Fiore. I curtsied before settling down to eat my breakfast.

Just then, he placed his utensils down and looked at me with a serious expression. I continued to eat quietly until I could not stand it further.

Somethings feels off.

"Is something wrong, Father?"

Father straightened his back immediately and replied, "Lucy my dear, I have something important to tell you,"

I have a bad feeling about this.

"What is it?" I asked.

He continued, "Lucy, you're 16 years old now, and I feel that it's the time for you to get engaged,"

My eyes widened in shock as I slowly placed my fork down.

"I have arranged everything for you, you are to be engaged to a young nobleman from the Dexent family. His name is Natsu Dexent." He said with a smile.

I stood up abruptly, causing the chair to fall backwards and raised my voice unintentionally, "What!"

He wasted no effort to glare at me before speaking in a threatening tone, "Lucy, sit down."

Well excuse me for being surprised about my new marital status, this is just ridiculous!

"Father you know that I don't believe arranged marriages, I want to marry someone that I love, not just any guy from a noble linage." I said in the calmest voice I could muster.

A vein appeared on his forehead and I could see he is getting pissed, "Lucy, I'm not asking for your opinion, I'm telling you. There shall be no arguments,  you're marrying Natsu Dexent and that's final! Understood?"

Tears threatened to fall as I bit my lip to contain my emotions. Just as I felt a drop of tear trickling down my cheeks, I ran away. 

I headed to the stables and pulled a cloak over my shoulders. I mounted my favourite house, Lily, and exited the castle grounds.
