Lucy de Fiore's POV

"Lucy"

He's right there.

He's standing right infront of me after 10 years.

I approached him slowly as tears started to blur my vision, "Sting?"

His expression looked pained as he looked at me.

"Where were you all these years? I was looking for you for so long I thought— I thought you were dead!" I cried.

He took a step back as I stepped forward. "Lucy please, don't come any closer." He said in a deep voice.

My skin prickled at the unfamiliar voice.

His voice is no longer the childish, and squeaky voice I used to love listening to anymore...

Obviously.

"Please Sting, don't leave again, do you know how much I've missed you?" Tears flowed like a river down my face as I let my emotions take over. I caressed his face as I brushed a lock of his hair away from his eyes.

His eyes that were unable to meet mine was filled with a look of loneliness.

Sting Roman's POV

Stop.

Don't come any closer Lucy, please.

I'm dangerous.

Her tears were flowing down her cheeks. Out of habit, I used my thumb and wiped them away, just like when we were young. I knew that it was a mistake to show myself, but I can't restrain myself anymore.

I want to hold her in my arms so badly.

I feel like my heart is being torn in half watching her cry like this because of me.

It's all my fault.

"Sting, don't leave me alone again. Please." She begged.

That was when my heart shattered.

She looked so sad, it was my fault making her feel like this. Even though I love her so much, I'm the cause for her sufferings.

I never wanted to leave you Lucy, I would've never imagined that a day like this would come.

Never.

My self-control broke and my hands found their way around her back. I hugged her tightly and I said in a soft voice, "I'm so sorry, I never wanted this to happen Luce, but—"

My words were cut short as she embraced me back just as tight.

That was all I needed. Comfort.

I tightened my grip around her petite body as I inhaled her scent. It has been such a long time, yet she still smells like strawberries and vanilla.

We just stood there hugging each other in silence until the sky started to pour. I released the hug quickly and stared at her straight in the eyes, "Lucy, This is going to be the last time we ever see each other again."

She looked crestfallen.

I tore my eyes away from her gaze, "I'm sorry." I kissed her forehead gently as she cried, "Sting! No! Don-"

I hit the nerve on the back of her neck causing her to faint. I caught her in my arms just in time and laid her down gently against a tree.

Sorries seem to be the only things I can say when I see you.

Normal POV

The man laid his princess down gently against the tree as he looked at her with sad eyes.

He was in pain and so was she.

Then, his lips met hers as he mumbled softly, "I love you."

This, is the tragedy of the two.
