Arely's POV

Friday...

It sucks Landon wasn't at school today. It's Friday and it's the last day we will have time in class to do it. We have half of it done but it's going to put us a little behind since he isn't here to help.

Plus I didn't have anyone to talk to in my last two class periods, the only person that I talk to is Landon so it was kind of boring.

As I was working on this slideshow, I got a FaceTime call from Landon.

I put my earbuds in and answered the call.

"Hey, whatchu doing?" He asked me.

"Fixing up these slides we got information on" I told him.

"Let me see"

I turned the screen showing him what work I've done.

"Okay, okay... it looks good, you're doing good"

"Thank you" I smiled.

"Yeah... how's school?"

"Boring how was that appointment?" I asked.

"Same as usual" he shrugged his shoulders.

I shook my head giggling a little bit.

"We have to come over to each other's houses in order to finish this" I told him.

"Okay, I'll come over after school"

"I didn't even ask my mom nor my dad"

"Ask, we're only doing a project" he laughed.

"Alright, I'll ask."

"Okay. Uhh I gotta go... let me know what they say"

"Okay"

I hung up immediately texted both my parents hoping they would let him come over. I'm not going to lie I was shocked when they said yes... I was also happy as fuck.

I gathered up all the things I needed to put back where they came from and then proceeded to get my stuff together all while trying to text Landon back.

By the time I did all that, the bell had rung releasing school. I wasted no time in getting home so I could get in the shower and change before he got here.

As I was changing my phone started ringing to I put my shirt on and answered it without even looking to see who it was.

"Hey, which house is it?" Landon asked.

"Hold on, I'll come outside" I ran down the stairs and out the front door looking for his Mustang.

"I see you, you just turned the wrong way" I laughed.

"Oh shit"

I watched as he used someone's driveway to turn around then he parked on the side of my house.

"What's up" Landon smiled as he got out of the car.

"Nothing, how as your day?"

"It was aight" he gave me a hug.

"Mine too, mine too"

I led him inside and we sat at the dining room table.

"This is a nice house" He looked around with an impressed look.

"Yeah... I know, I'm still kind of shocked I live here. I mean, you saw where I came from."

"So what do your parents do?" he asked.

"My mom is a trauma nurse and my dad is a neurosurgeon"

"Hell yeah... I'm happy for you. You deserve a life like this."
