Arely's POV
8:20 a.m.
I opened my eyes to a bright ass room that I could barely see anything in. I forgot that my room gets pretty bright in the mornings and this hangover is not treating me good.
Landon was still knocked out when I turned over to check on him. The brightness of the room was making his body look so damn good. He was so cute to watch sleep and I kind of might look like a creep for it but who cares... he's fine as fuck.
"Good morning" he said with his eyes still closed making me jump.
"You scared the fuck out of me... I thought you were knocked out" I laughed.
"Sorry... you sleep good?" He asked.
"Yeah... amazing" I couldn't help but smile from ear to ear.
"Me too"
We noticed our clothes were messily thrown around in the floor. I got up and grabbed my shorts and shirt and he asked for his as well. Once dressed he gathered his things and then sat down on my bed to put his shoes on.
Landon's POV
"You leaving me?" Arely asked me.
"I gotta get to the gym. My first fight is next weekend" I told her.
"First official fight?" She asked.
I nodded my head.
"Well, I'm excited for you. I did want you to stay with me for a while but I guess I'll let you chase your dreams" she smiled as she gave me a kiss.
"Thank you baby" I returned her kiss.
I got up, grabbed my things and headed for the door. She followed locking the door behind me. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't thinking about what happened last night the whole ride to the gym. That girl is so damn sexy and it's crazy what she was able to do to me last night.
I made a quick stop to get some food so I wasn't running on empty then parked in the gym parking lot to eat.
"Aye!" Santos banged his hands on my car making me jump.
He laughed and got in my car.
"Cuhs last night was a fucking movie" he smiled from ear to ear.
I couldn't help but smile too.
"You got some huh?" We asked each other in unison.
We nodded our heads and laughed.
"That shit was fun" I said.
"I was so fucked up. Like how I get so fucked up that I woke up refreshed this morning?" Santos laughed.
"Me too man, me too" I got all my trash together then got out.
"Good morning, boys" we turned to see our coach.
"What's good, coach"
"Landon, you got weigh-ins tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. Santos, yours is at 11:00 a.m. we got one more full day of practice ti get in so let's use it to the fullest extent."
He held the doors open for us.
"Santos the guy you're fighting is all about takedowns. In order to beat this guy you gotta improve how you escape those takedown situations he may put you in. Make sure you stay calm and patient... clear minds win fights" he sent him off with who he would be practicing with them he walked alongside me.
"Unfortunately your opponent loves boxing. The boxing isn't what I'm worried about here, I'm more concerned about you protecting your head. I know we've been working hard on your defensive, but today we're going to focus on blocking and head movement. The more you move, the harder it is for him to catch you flat-footed."
I know I'm good at protecting my head but my coach has every right to be nervous and protective. After he learned about what happened to me with my last coach he always promised my mom that he'd watch over me. I can admit my last coach was not good at reading me which probably played a factor in what led to me getting injured.
Regardless, the coach I have now is a lot better and I know he's going to lead me to the big money if I let him.
Arely's POV
"Soooo you gotta tell me!!" Faith jumped onto my bed.
"Tell you what?" I giggled.
I knew exactly what she was talking about but if she thought it was going to be this easy to get that type of info out of me then she's sadly mistaken
"You and me both know you got some last night" she crossed her arms.
"I did." I cracked.
"How was it?"
"Good, great" I smiled just thinking about it.
"I told you!!!" She seemed more excited than me.
"You told me what?" I looked at her kind of crazy.
"You thought I wouldn't get it out of you and I told you a long time ago I would remember?"
I thought back for the exact moment she said that.
"Fuck you" I playfully shoved her.
"Don't worry... Santos too" she stuck her tongue out.
"Whatever y'all did, I don't want to know. And whatever we did, you're never going to know." I told her.
She threw her hands up in defeat.
"But for real, thank your parents for the limo. It was fun and we all had a great time" she smiled.
"I did. That was a blast and I honestly wouldn't change a thing about last night"
"Girl, me either"
