Evelyn's POV

As soon as I got the call that something was wrong with Landon, I dropped everything and got to him as soon as possible.

Apparently, he was over at Arely's house doing a project and then passed out in her room.

I hopped out of my car and ran up the the door. Before I could even knock Arely opened the door and let me in.

"Is he okay?" I asked immediately.

"He's kind of awake now. He was in my room but we helped him down here" she replied.

"Okay...," I turned my attention to Landon. "You okay baby?"

He nodded his head.

"Can you walk?"

He nodded once again.

I helped him to his feet and we slowly made our way to my car. Arely said goodbye on our way out and her dad followed. Once I got Landon in the seat I helped him buckle up then closed the door.

"Hey, I'm Calvin, Arely's dad. This might be a bad time but I'm a neurosurgeon and I was wanting to know if you've found a diagnosis for his seizures?"

"We haven't." I told him.

"Well, a good friend of mine is an epileptologist—"

"What's that?" I accidentally cut him off.

"A neurologist that specializes in epileptic seizures. He's truly phenomenal with his work and I think if you give him a call," he handed me a card. "He will help Landon"

"Thank you... Thank you so much."

"Of course" Calvin said.

Landon was sleep by the time I got in the car so I shook him a little just to make sure he was sleeping. He briefly opened his eyes then dozed back off so I started the car up and headed home.

The next morning...

I took the day off to watch Landon. The seizure he had last night has him still dazed and confused so I decided to give that doctor that Arely's dad gave me.

On my way down to my office I poked my head into Landon's room. He was still sleeping. I wasted no time calling the number that was given to me and it didn't even ring long.

"UT Southwestern Neurology Clinic, how can I help you?" A receptionist said into the phone.

I told her who and why I was calling for and she instantly knew who I was which I was kind of taken back by.

"We can schedule an appointment for Monday, if you'd like?"

"That's fine" I said.

"Perfect, I have you all set for Monday at 10:30. Just remember that once you arrive we'll need some extra information so you'll be given paperwork to fill out."

"Sounds good" I said before hanging up.

"We don't hhhhave a-any milk"

"Oh shit!... you scared me" I jumped.

"Sorry" Landon said.

"Umm, no. I have to go grocery shop today. You want to come?" I asked.

"Wh-why not"

Landon's POV

"How are you feeling?" My mom asked me.

"Okay... tired" I told her.

I don't remember anything that she told me happened yesterday and honestly I wish none of it happened. It has been so long since I had a seizure but now, I have no clue what's going to happen now that I have had one.
