Megumi

I straighten my white button-up and Maki slaps my hands. “Don’t ruin it,” she says and I nod.

She grabs a mirror, running around her and Nobara’s home. She moved in yesterday but it’s already home to her. She wheels over a large mirror and I look at myself in it.

My figure is accentuated by the white shirt being tucked into black dress pants and Maki sighs. She unbuttons the top button and I slap her hands away.

“Chill,” she rolls her eyes. “It looks too strict,” she says and I sigh and unbutton it myself. She nods and smiles.

I arrive at the cafe, ten minutes early, and scroll through Twitter. I see people making fan art of Yuji and I as a couple and I repost some of it. It’s adorable. A waitress asks if I want to order and I tell her I’m waiting for a friend. I see him walk in, two minutes before the expected time and I smile and wave at him. His face lights up.

He sits beside me, comfortably, and blushes when we make eye contact. “This is the first time we’re hanging out in person,” he says and I nod.
“We both agree that this,” I point at the table, “is a date… right?” I ask and Itadori nods.

People ask to take photos with us and we agree and pose for them. I kiss Itadori’s cheek, knowing the alternative is to awkwardly smile. No, thank you. Itadori smiles, his face a bright pink and I laugh as the girls scurry back to their seats. The waitress asks if we want to order and we do. We talk about random things and we walk home. He grabs my waist, at my door, and kisses me softly. I stumble back in surprise but eventually lean into his embrace. We both enter my apartment and Yuji suggests putting on a movie.

We end up watching “Spirited Away” (Kugisaki’s favourite) and Nobara calls me in the middle of it. It's FaceTime so I lean away from Yuji. He pauses the movie.

“Look, Megs,” she says and looks me dead in the eyes. “I know you know about Yuji having a crush on you,” she explains and I look at Yuji confused. He shrugs. “If you have to reject him, do it softly. He doesn't deserve more hurt. Or I will break every bone in your body.” I hide my laughter behind my hand. Yuji’s eyes light up. He says, loudly.

“Babe! I’m gonna cook some popcorn for the movie!” I smile and lean back, looking at my kitchen. He sneaks up behind me and kisses me. Kugisaki looks shocked. “Oh my God! I'm sorry, Megs. You guys are so cute!” She hangs up and Yuji starts making the popcorn. I go into the kitchen while he reads the instructions on the bag, wrapping my arms around his waist. He kisses me again and I smile.
