“Ugh,” I whine as Yūji and Megumi kiss again. Yūji’s hands shake against Megumi’s waist and Megumi pulls him in for a hug.
It’s the middle of winter and Yūji, like the idiot he is, forgot to bring a warmer jumper. “It’ll be fine,” he said. I’ve bet 50 bucks with Maki that he’s going to call in sick tomorrow. She laughed at it.
“You better come and help out if he does,” she replied, snickering, and I kissed her. Good times.
“I told you to grab a jacket, Yūji,” I say and Megumi glares at me. I regret knowing them both. “Y-yes,” he stutters through chattering teeth, “I regret this.” I smile, wickedly. Megumi holds Yūji tighter and offers his jacket. Yūji refuses. “When can we go back to the apartment?” Megumi asks, annoyed and I sigh. “Maki, our kind chauffeur, will be here any minute now.”
Maki arrives ten minutes later and gives Yūji a hot chocolate. She gives Megumi and I coffee. I kiss her in thanks. She smiles at me. “How are you, Yūji?” She asks, leaning her head back and Yūji frowns. “I’m alright. Thank you for the ride,” he says kindly and Maki laughs.
“Don’t forget your jacket next time, Tiger.”
