Chapter 23

"You don't have to be scared."

I tried to wipe his tears but it just keeps on coming and coming. It's really making me scared too. I am getting really scared on the situation. What if he believes whatever Corey was saying? Ano na lang ang mangyayari sa'min? Will he still look at me as if I'm the most precious thing in the world?

"Limuel, look at me..." I moved his face and made him look at me. "Please, don't be scared... I will... I will never hurt you. Remember that, okay? I will never, baby, I will never."

"Sorry..." He shook his head before letting go of me. "I need space, I'm sorry." He kissed my forehead before handing me his car keys.

My sobs became even more louder when he left me there hanging. He left his car keys to me because I didn't bring my car.

Iniisip niya pa rin talaga ang kapakanan at kaligtasan ko.

I closed my eyes before opening his car and sitting on the driver's seat. I covered my mouth to stop my loud sobs. My mind is filled with sorrow and anger, I'm also really scared. I'm really scared of him leaving me. I clenched my fist while remembering what happened lately.

That Corey. If I could just skin him alive, I will do it without hesitations. I can't believe he will be the reason of all my pain. Just because I was fooled with his goddamn smile and wisdoms. Fuck, just fuck that bastard. I will never let myself get along with him ever again. Like ever.

"H-hello? Ellai?" I tried to stop my tears when I dialed Ella's number.

[Hello? Oh, nasaan na ba kayo?!] She's shouting because it was really loud.

"Uuwi na kami. Pagod na 'ko. Pasabi na lang kay Ren, salamat sa invite."

[Umiiyak ka ba?] I think she went outside of the room because her surroundings became silent, suddenly.

"Ellai..." I cried again when she ended the call. I covered my face and rested it on my lap. I didn't get up for minutes, and then I heard Ella's voice outside.

"Why are you crying? Where's Limuel?" She immediately grabbed my wrist right after she entered the shotgun seat.

"Umalis siya. Ella, iiwan niya 'ko. Iiwan niya 'ko... Iiwan ako ni Limuel." She pulled me on her shoulder to hug me tight.

"Bakit? Ano bang nangyari?" I couldn't even tell it to her. Pinipigilan ako ng mga luha ko. "That bastard happened again?

That's when I let go of her before staring on her eyes. I nodded continuously before drying my tears with the back of my hands. My gaze immediately turned on her hands when I felt it clenching very tight.

"I can ask someone to shoot him, do you want that?" She asked me casually as if she was just going to buy something.

"Anything but illegal." I rolled my eyes before pushing her hands away.

"I can hide it, don't worry-"

"Ellai, seryoso na." I faced her before hitting her arms.

"I'm serious."

"There goes the phrase." I rolled my eyes out of disappointment. "Bakit ba gusto mo lagi ng barilan, ha?"

"Because they deserve that punishment for ruining other people's lives. Like that tonto del culo." Like that idiot of an ass.

"I only understand 'culo', but nevermind." I shook my head before covering my face with my hands.

"I already warned you about that guy... Did you listen? No." She looked at me flatly as if I did something stupid. Well, I really did something stupid.
