A/N: eh sorry that I'm a little late, got my reasons (which I hate because they keep me from writing but whatever) enjoy your day/night/time

"You're joking, right?", Cas stared at his older brother in complete bewilderment. This couldn't be true, right?

"Look, Cassie – we've thought this through already. It's a win-win situation." Gabriel tried to ease the anger rising inside of Cas.

He knew he was behaving ridiculous – it was really not that big of a deal. Yet, he felt left out when it came to planning decision like this, and he certainly wasn't going to just agree with anything they decided about him, without him.

"We meaning Dean, Sam and you, or what?"

"I heard my name; miss me already?" Dean came strolling into the living room, and a sight that would usually calm Cas made the fury inside of him boil even more. He just couldn't put up with that casual, innocent attitude.

Cas turned to his former best friend, snorting. "Oh, don't you get me started."

Dean answered with a confused look, and Cas wanted to slap something. Wow. He never used to be aggressive. Wasn't it funny how his patience was tested by Dean's constant attacks of his upper nerve limit?

"Dean didn't participate in the decision," Sam hurried to say before Cas was actually gonna throw something. The tension was hanging low in the air. "He had no part of this."

"Part of what?" Dean finally realized that some kind of argument was going on; at least his carefree expression from earlier turned a tac more serious.

"Gabriel and I had the idea that Cas could ride with us – the way to school is the same and it wouldn't cost the double time that Gabe'd have to take to bring Cas separately. And it'd save some expensive resources – such as oil."

"Cassie here, however, disagrees with us about the aspects of driving with you guys," Gabriel added, and Dean's eyes flickered over to Cas for just a moment, but he immediately tore the gaze away when Cas met it.

Dean didn't say anything which Cas took as a cue of making himself clear. "Where's the problem in driving me, Gabe? Sick of me yet? Come on, you only use this as an excuse to chill around instead of spending time with me, don't you?"

Oh, he hated himself. He knew exactly how this was not true, that the reasoning Sam and Gabe brought on was absolutely understandable.

Still – he couldn't bring himself not to act like a spoiled bitchy brat.

"This isn't about me, Castiel, not even about you. Where is the problem in driving with the Winchesters instead?"

"You really want me to elaborate all the problems I have driving with them?!"

They all knew how 'them' really was just replacing the 'him', but nobody said anything. Dean's eyes landed on Cas again, longer this time. He tried to banish the hurt clear in his face from it, but Cas had seen.

He hated how he was the reason for Dean to be sad, and he hated the guilt coming along.

"You're acting like a child right now, Castiel," Gabriel said, and Cas knew it to be true. He kept himself from stomping down with his feet. That would drain the last bit of dignity he still had from him, for sure.

"I'm just gonna say 'no', how 'bout that? 'Asked you nicely, you refused. Now I can just say I won't drive you and that's set. Try getting to school alone or take the offer of your friends."

Cas balled his hands to fists. He knew any more arguing would be pointless, only hurt Dean more. "You know, the thing that bothers me the most here isn't the decision you made itself – it's how you just decided that. You decided that without even asking me, as if I had no opinion."
