The next day, Meira was invited over to Emily's, but she almost chose not to go when she seen the blood on Bella's arm. Bella swore everything was fine though, and practically pushed for the girl to go to La Push. So, instead of arguing, Meira left the Swan house and headed to Emily's.

When Meira arrived, she seen a few boys hanging out outside the woman's house. She could tell from the way they were dressed and the tattoos on their arms, that they were all friends, and she hoped they weren't a cult. She couldn't be a part of a cult, otherwise she would be in a lot of trouble later on. She doubted her record label would be too happy with her if she was a part of a cult.

"You're Meira Cobain, right?" One of the boys asked, and Meira nodded,"I'm Embry, Emily sent me to get you and bring you inside." He commented, as he smiled at Meira.

"Oh, Meira! You're here!" Emily exclaimed happily, as she walked over and gave the girl a hug.

Meira never questioned the scars on Emily's face, since she knew how much she hated being questioned and stared at as though she was a crazy science experiment.

"Meira, this is my fiance, Sam Uley." Emily commented, turning to the tall and serious looking man near the doorway.

"Nice to meet you, Meira, Emily told me everything, and I want to thank you for your kindness." Sam said, and Meira smiled.

"Nice to meet you, too, Sam. I give kindness to everyone whenever I can." Meira replied, almost gasping when she seen Sam smile at her as well.

"Meira, these are Sam's friends; Paul Lahote, Jared Cameron, and you've met Embry Call," Emily commented,"A couple of the others are out right now, but they might be back before you leave. Their names are Leah and Seth Clearwater, Seth is Leah's little brother." She added, and Meira nodded as she listened.

"Nice to meet you all." Meira said, waving to the boys.

"Is it true that your dad was in Nirvana?" Embry asked, causing Paul to smack him.

"You don't just ask someone that." Paul growled, but Meira simply smiled at Embry.

"Yes, my father was Kurt Cobain. My full name is Meira Kurt Cobain, since Dad wanted me named after him. I took up singing because of him." She replied, as the boys listened intently.

"Your father was a god in music." Jared murmured, and Meira grinned.

"Oh, while I make lunch, would you like to sing for us, Meira?" Emily asked, and Meira nodded.

"Do you have any song preferences?" Meira asked, but Emily shook her head, and so did the guys.

"I'd like to hear one of the songs you've written yourself." Paul commented, causing Meira to smile and agree.

Meira bit her lip and thought for a moment, before she finally decided which song she was going to sing.

After singing her song, all of the boys stared at her with wonder. Paul, Jared, and Embry clapped their hands, as Sam and Emily smiled at the girl.

"You're an amazing singer, Meira." Emily commented, and Meira smiled.

"You seriously sound like the girl version of your father." Sam said, causing Meira's eyes to tear up.

"Thank you, Sam, that's one of the nicest things anyone has ever said to me." She replied, making Emily place her hand on the girl's shoulder for comfort.

Meira wiped the tear from her eye, before getting up to help Emily with the food. While helping Emily, Meira continued to sing little snippets of songs to get the boys' and Emily's opinions on them. If she heard good feedback from them, she felt as though she'd get good feedback in the real world from many others as well.

"Who's car's outside?" Meira heard, causing her and Emily to turn around.

"That's Meira's, Emily's friend." Embry replied, pointing to Meira.

"Meira, this is Leah, and her little brother Seth." Sam commented, and Meira looked over at the two.

Meira felt her heart skip a beat when she met eyes with Leah, but she frowned when she seen Leah freeze up staring at her, before turning around and storming off.

"Oh." Seth murmured, before turning and running after his sister.

"What was that? Did I do something wrong?" Meira asked, but everyone quickly shook their heads.

"No, Leah's just a little shy around new people. She'll come around." Emily replied, and Meira nodded, though she didn't quite believe Emily.

Meira didn't know what the truth was, but she knew Emily wasn't telling the complete truth. Obviously Meira wasn't going to force the truth out of Emily, since she knew Emily and the boys didn't know her very well. She figured they were probably hiding something from her since she was new to their friend group.

"I will leave after lunch; give her some space." Meira commented, causing Emily to frown.

"You don't have to leave." Emily replied, but Meira shook her head with a smile.

"I have a few things to do at home anyway." Meira said, though she wasn't exactly telling the truth.

The truth was, she was practicing her abilities some more. She had been doing so every night, so getting an early start on it wouldn't hurt. She knew the one Ghost she was going to be seeing was her father, so she doubted she'd feel scared or threatened while practicing.

She could feel that there was something different about the boys around her, but she wasn't going to ask. She had her own secret to keep, and she knew she didn't want to tell anyone, so she wasn't going to force anything out of them. Hell, she doubted they'd accept her once they knew the truth anyway. She doubted any normal person would have abilities like her, so she didn't want to he singled out for it. She hated being the talk of the town, so she didn't want to give them more reason to talk...

A/N: I hope you guys liked this chapter. I decided to have Seth and Leah already be a part of the pack. Don't correct me, I know they weren't for real, but in my book they are!

Love you guys!
