"Why are you so dressed up today?" Bella asked, as she walked into the kitchen.

"I have an interview with a music producer. He's coming by the house. He should be here in about an hour." Meira answered, shrugging as she took a sip of her coffee.

"I'm still unsure of why you're so dressed up." Bella commented, causing Meira to sigh.

"I don't want to miss my chance because I'm dressed like a bum." She replied, making Bella chuckle.

"Meira, you dress just like your father, or at least, I think you do, based on the photos you've showed me of him. I doubt the music producer would care how you're dressed, and if they did, than they're missing out on signing the best singer they'd ever find. Besides, you're Meira Kurt Cobain, when have you ever cared about what people thought about how you dressed?" She said, her question being rhetorical.

"You're right, but I already changed my outfit three times, I'm not looking for a fourth. The next time I change, it'll be into pajamas." Meira replied, as Bella simply shook her head at her best friend.

Meira had practically paced her room for an hour, trying to find the perfect outfit for her interview. The first outfit was a pair of faux leather pants and a red cropped long sleeve top with black heels, the second outfit was a black skirt with a dark green tight fit sweater with black knee high boots, but by the third outfit, Meira had given up and just went with what she had on. She was never the greatest at making choices when it came to dressing for important events, but she had to try her best.

Anyhow, after finishing her coffee, Meira watched Bella leave with Edward, and Charlie leave for work. He told her he'd be late, so she and Bella shouldn't wait up for him. She understood, of course, so she didn't try to talk him out of working late. Besides, she was already so stressed over her meeting, she really couldn't think of anything else. By the time the clock struck ten, her heartbeat began to accelerate. She was nervous, but when she heard a knock on the front door, her heart practically jumped from her chest. Her eyes widened when she seen who was at the door when she opened it.

"Hey, are you Meira Kurt Cobain?" He asked, causing her to nod,"Awesome, I'm Dre, but most everyone calls me Dr. Dre. I don't know if you've heard of me, I've signed many people, including well known rapper, Slim Shady." He said, and Meira smiled.

"Yes, I'm a big fan of yours. I still listen to some of your older songs on a daily basis." She replied, as she let him into the house.

"I heard a few good things about you from your sister, before your mother went crazy on me. To be honest, your life reminds me quite a bit of Slim's, if I'm honest." He commented, causing the girl to chuckle.

"My mother's a crazy bitch, I can promise you that. She always has been, but when Dad died, she became way worse." Meira replied, offering the man a drink.

"Soda's fine," He answered,"I seen a few videos of you singing, but I want you to sing for me. I also heard you can write your own songs, so I want to see some of them." He said, causing the girl to nod.

Meira quickly ran off to her room and grabbed her guitar and one of her notebooks full of songs, before she went back downstairs to Dr. Dre. She handed him the notebook and let him skim through it, and after a moment or two, he handed the book back to her.

"I'd like to hear you sing this one." He said, pointing to the song he had chosen.

"I like your voice. You have a lot of talent, which I'm going to suppose is completely from your father." Dre commented, causing the girl to smile.

"I'd like to believe so, since he was the better artist out of the two of them." She replied, laughing lightly at her own joke.

"I'd like to sign you to my label. I haven't had many girl singers on my label, especially ones that mostly sang and didn't rap, but I think you've earned your spot." He said, and the girl grinned.

"I'd love to, but I'm not eighteen yet, so all of my money would go to my mother. If it didn't, she'd take me to court and things would get messy. I don't want to cause any more problems for my little sister." Meira replied, causing Dre to nod.

"Well, I can give you a five year contract, meaning you'll have five years until your career would start and you'd have all the time between those give gears to write music, record it if you wanted, and complete at least one album. You could probably do a video or two, if you wanted, but once your career started, you'd do videos, concerts, tours, albums, interviews, and things like that. By that time, your mother would be unable to get any of your money, and if she took you to court, we'd have the best lawyers to represent you. Hell, you could talk to Slim and get some pointers about your mother bringing you to court for money." Dre said, causing the girl to bite her lip.

"Would I sign the contract now, then it'll go into effect in five years?" She asked, and he nodded.

"You can sign this one right here. I'll have it motorized and have a copy sent to you as soon as possible." He replied, passing a contract over to her.

Meira quickly signed everywhere Dre pointed to, before passing the contract back over to him. Normally, she'd be worried about signing contracts so quickly, but she trusted Dre. If he was a bad guy, she believed artists would've already come out about him by now. Besides, she did skim over the contract as she signed, so she knew everything she was getting into.

"Thank you for your time, Meira. We'll be in contact soon," He said, standing up from the table,"Remember, if you ever want to start early, or if you need any advice or information, feel free to give me a call." He commented, before saying goodbye.

Meira couldn't kee pl the smile off of her face once he was gone. She had signed a music contract and she was finally going to do what she had always wanted to do. Her mother wasn't going to run her life with it either, which excited the girl immensely. She was finally going to be happy in her life based on her own decisions completely...

A/N: I hope you guys liked this chapter. So, I'm trying to get this book further into the Twilight series already. I mean, I'm just about at chapter twenty, and Bella hasn't even had her birthday party yet. I guess the best writing is some of the longest stories.

Love you guys!
