Meira didn't get much sleep that night from all of the information she was given, but she did happen to get a few hours. The sleep happened to be dreamless this time, but that didn't make her any less stressed out. Alice had come into the room at eight in the morning to wake the girl, since Bella was going to be around by eleven. Alice had picked an outfit out from Meira's bag, which she thought was suitable for the day. She had gotten Meira many outfits, but she allowed the girl to wear her own clothes so she'd feel a little more comfortable during the somewhat awkward moment they were all going to go through later in the day.
"Bella will be here soon. Jasper and I are going outside for a moment to give Jasper a bit of fresh air. Would you like to come? We can bring you into the trees with us." Alice commented, causing Meira to smile.
"Sounds fun. Are you sure though? I don't want to bother you two if you want time alone." Meira replied, making Alice giggle.
"You're Jasper's best human friend. We'll always want you around. Besides, you could probably use some fresh air before Bella gets here as well." Alice said, as she hugged the Cobain girl.
Alice grabbed Meira's hand and lead her over to Jasper. Jasper grabbed the girl's other hand, before the couple used their strength to jump into the trees with Meira. Seeing nature from the level they were at was beautiful to Meira, which made her wonder why she hadn't climbed trees when she was younger just to look out at the beautiful scenery around her.
"Bella has arrived." Alice announced, as she grinned at her husband and his best friend.
Alice wanted to label Meira as her best friend as well, but she wasn't sure how close Meira felt with her. She decided she'd talk to Meira about their friendship soon, even if it had to wait until the next time Alice invited Meira over for a "sleepover."
Alice and Jasper lead Meira back to the house through the trees. Alice jumped out of the tree first, landing gracefully in the kitchen. Jasper grasped Meira's sides and jumped into the kitchen gracefully with her. They walked over towards Alice, once Alice was finished hugging Bella and gushing over their impending friendship.
"W-what about Meira?" Bella asked, referring to the lecture she had recieved from Rosalie earlier.
"She's Jasper's best friend." Emmett replied, looking over at the other girl.
"She knows what it's like to have secrets you don't want others to know, or that you can't tell anyone. I know--we know she won't tell anyone anything, even if she was mad at us." Rosalie retorted, staring at her brother's best friend.
Bella nodded awkwardly, and soon enough, Edward pulled the girl away and told his family he was going to show Bella around the house.
"That went well." Meira murmured, causing Emmett, Carlisle, and Jasper to chuckle.
"Clean this up. Now." Esme demanded, looking over at her blonde daughter.
"I hope you're hungry, Meira. Otherwise we've made this food for absolutely nothing." Emmett commented, causing the girl to smile kindly.
"I will eat, don't worry. Alice didn't let me have breakfast." The girl replied, as Alice gasped.
"I offered you a granola bar!" Alice exclaimed, causing Meira to roll her eyes.
"That's like offering you a mouse. It's not going to make much of a difference if I eat it or not, I'll still be hungry afterward. It's like a food tease." Meira retorted, causing everyone in the room to laugh.
Esme fixed Meira a plate full of food, knowing the girl was probably starving, since she hadn't eaten all morning and it was almost noon.
"So, did you dream last night, or have any encounters?" Carlisle asked, as Meira ate at the bar.
"No, but I think I was too stressed out to have enough connection to the window." Meira replied, causing Jasper to frown.
"If this was going to stress you out, we shouldn't have told you--" Jasper began, but she cut him off.
"I needed to know, otherwise I was going to feel even more crazy as it progressed. Besides, I was only stressed out right after learning all these new things. Now that I've somewhat come to terms with everything, I won't be stressed out. Maybe I can work on my connection." Meira said, and Carlisle nodded.
"Don't tire yourself out because you want to work on your connection. We can help you whenever you need. You can stay here and work on it whenever you want." Carlisle stated, and Meira smiled.
"Let us know if you get spooked. We don't want you scared because of the spirits." Alice said, whispering slightly to keep from Bella being able to overhear if she tried to eavesdrop.
"What if I get hurt, or if I can't wake up from an encounter in my sleep?" Meira asked, taking another bite to calm herself.
"We'll be here to patch you up, or wake you if you can't wake yourself. Alice should be able to tell us if something's going to happen so we can be there to help. Edward will be able to see some of your dream, if you're unable to wake up, I believe. We haven't tested to see if he can see into your dream during one of your encounters." Carlisle answered, and the girl nodded slightly.
Meira wasn't too worried about another encounter, but she was worried about how much stronger the encounters could get she was almost excited for her next face to face encounter with her father, even if they only happened when she was in dreams for now. She wondered if hers would be as strong as the psychic, Chip Coffey. If they were, she may have a better chance of "talking" to her father outside of dreams. She just hoped there wasn't any bad spirits, or poltergeists, trying to communicate with her once she learns to use her ability better...

A/N: I hope you guys liked this chapter. Meira and Bella will be a bit awkward around each other for a chapter or two because of her ability, but once she's more comfortable with it, she'll be more normal with Bella again.
