Jayda

Sure! Here's an edited version of your chapter with some adjustments and curse words removed:

Just a couple more minutes left
Jayda thought to herself as she sat in 4th-period Coordinate Algebra, waiting for the lunch bell to ring. She scribbled in her pink journal with her head propped up on her left arm, impatiently watching the clock. This was the only class Jayda didn't have any friends in.

Everyone else around her was chatting among themselves as the "teacher," Coach Roy, sat on his desk, talking to some of the basketball players about upcoming tryouts. Jayda could overhear him—his voice was naturally loud.

Suddenly, the vibrations under her notebook caught her attention. She checked her phone and saw that Fallon had sent an attachment to the group chat.

Mikaela👱🏻‍♀️: Devin is just wrong

Fallon💓: For real, and my cousin is graduating this year, but a whole underclassman? That's creepy behavior

The loud bell rang, signaling second lunch. Jayda grabbed her bag, clicked off her phone, and walked to the door to exit the classroom. The hallway quickly became crowded as everyone poured out of class, gathering near the red and black lockers.

Jayda walked down the hall to put her bag in her locker before heading to lunch. She grabbed some snacks out of her purse, as she usually didn't eat the school food. Her phone vibrated again, and she saw a text from Mikaela.

Mikaela👱🏻‍♀️
wya?

Jayda:
otw to the lunchroom

Jayda closed her locker and secured the lock. She started walking toward the lunchroom when she spotted Suki standing near the lockers with some of her friends. Suki whispered something, and two ninth-grade girls turned to look at Jayda, who had her head down, focused on her phone.

"I don't like her," Suki said, rolling her eyes and scanning Jayda's body, trying to find a flaw.

"She acts like she's better than everyone."

Jayda could feel their eyes on her as she passed, already knowing Suki was talking about her. She wasn't the confrontational type, but their comments didn't bother her. They didn't really have a reason to dislike her anyway.
