Jayda

Jayda couldn't say anything like her throat was closing up or something was blocking her way of forming words as she stared at the paternity test.

"Who's at the door?"

Rosanna stopped in her tracks as she saw the boy. She hadn't met him before but Rosanna already knew that was his son. He resembles her husband so much.

"Uh, you must be here for Dwayne" Rosanna said walking up towards the door, letting him in since it was cold outside. Jayda was too stunned to even display her manners to the boy.

Ariana walked in the foyer to see what was going on as she saw a young light-skinned boy in their home. Jayda still at lost for words as if her mom acted like nothing was wrong here. It's like she already knew about him.

"Who's this?" Ariana asked with confusion. Maybe a long distance cousin? Although her parents never mentioned anything about family coming.

"I-I didn't want you all to find out this way but this your brother, Xavier Edwards" Rosanna said with her arm around his shoulder.

Ariana just looked at the boy with a blank stare similar to her sister's. A lost for words. They couldn't believe it.

"You knew?" Ariana asked her mom.

Rosanna nodded her head. Footsteps are heard as their dad emerges from his office down the hall to see his bastard son standing next his wife.

"You cheated on mom? he looks about the same age as Grace. When did you find out about him?" Jayda asked directing her questions at him.

Dwayne signed. He didn't want his daughters to find out this way, honestly he doesn't even understand why Xavier was here right now. He had planned on meeting him later next week.

"Why are you here Xavier?" Dwayne asked ignoring his daughter. Jayda shook her head as she stared in disbelief.

Xavier looked more nervous as he shifted his weight on his right foot, "I sent you the paternity test result two weeks ago but you left me on read. I just wanted to meet my dad and give you the physical copy but you kept ignoring my phone calls"

That made Jayda stomach turn at the fact her dad wasn't taking responsibility for his child. He was still a child at the end of day and he didn't ask to be here.

"I'm sorry but it was just a lot going on. I didn't really want you all to meet like this...I think it's best we all talk about this in the morning" He said.
