I woke up from the ringing of my phone and checked the time before looking at the caller ID.

It was 6:00 a.m on Sunday and it was Rome calling me. Why was he calling me at such an early time? I don't know. He's annoying. We barely know each other.

I let it ring a few more times before picking up with a groan.

"Hello." I monotoned and heard a quiet sigh on the other end. "Hey. I am sorry for waking you up, I just... want to show you something. If you allow me to," He sounded so chirpy and wide awake like it isn't 6:00 in the morning.

"Okay, you could've just texted or sent a picture," I sighed. "That's the problem. I want to show you it in person. I know we barely know each other but I promise you won't regret this," He promised and I just decided to give it a chance. "Why not?" I shrugged and heard a silent "yes!".

He hung up and asked for my location and I sent it and got ready as he made his way over here. I thought about telling my mom that I was about to go out alone with some guy at 6 in the morning, but hopefully what he has to show me doesn't take long.

I am praying that he isn't wasting my time right now. I was finally showered and cleaned up and I put on a black hoodie with gray sweatpants and black Nike slides. I grabbed a bagel out of the fridge and warmed it up and ate that while waiting.

I was only halfway through my bagel when I heard my phone go off and I took that as a sign that he's here. I grabbed my phone and dashed outside and saw his Range Rover jeep parked across from my house.

I walked towards the car and got in and noticed how nice the interior of it was.

"Wow." I spoke to myself and felt eyes watching me. "Not even a hello? You have to work on your manners Christian," Rome rolled his eyes playfully and started the car.

"Where are we going?" I asked confused on us driving near the beach. "I thought it was obvious," He points out and parks at one of the empty lots by the beach. We got out of the car and I followed behind him like a lost puppy as he led the way. The sun was beginning to rise slowly due to the fact that it was now 6:30 a.m.

He sat down and I took that as a sign to sit down as well. I looked up at the sky and was completely amazed at the view. "Wow." I smiled and looked towards Rome to see that he was also admiring the sunrise.

"You like it?" He asks with a hint of shyness in his voice. "I really do. I love sunrises and sunsets actually. They are my favorite. I appreciate this a lot."

And I was telling the truth, sunrises and sunsets really are my favorite. I usually feel at peace as I watch the lingering colors of the sky slowly change just within time.

"You know, I always wanted to know how God was able to make something so beautiful." He observed and I looked towards him to see that he was staring between the sky and I.

A small smile danced on my lips and I looked away and back up at the sky, leaving his confession hanging in the air.

We spent at least 2 hours talking and getting to know each other and honestly... Rome is actually amazing. I do still find him annoying, but he's a good kind of annoying.

He took me home after realizing that my mom might just kill me if she notices I'm gone.

I gave him a friendly goodbye hug and headed inside as quietly as I possibly can.

I got inside and silently closed the door without turning around and looking within my surroundings.

"Dónde Estabas Christian?" My mom spoke and I jumped from the sudden intrusion. (Where were you Christian?)
