I decided to pick up flowers on my way to Christian's house mainly because I actually want to impress her for some reason. Not only impress her but see her smile. I got her bright pink colored tulips wrapped together in a pack.

I was deciding on if I should walk to her front door and knock or just sit in the car and wait. I didn't want to scare anyone and I am sure her family doesn't know who I am. The gentlemen my dad taught me to be though, I decided to go up to the front door.

I knocked on it and placed one of my hands in my jeans pocket and my other holding onto the flowers with sweaty palms.

There was no answer so I decided to ring the doorbell and knock once more. I heard a 'coming!', but the voice was unrecognizable.

I patiently waited on the porch and was met with a much older looking version of Christian. I figured it was her sister in how much alike they look.

"Hey, how are you?" I held my hand out to introduce myself and she placed her hands in mine. "Hi! I'm Iyanna and you are?" She asks in confusion. "Oh, I'm Rome. Nice to meet you Iyanna. I am sorry to cut the conversation short but is Christian here?" I hesitated and she nodded her head and told me to hold on for a second.

I watched her walk back into the house and 2 minutes later Christian was walking towards the door with a small purse, skin tight jeans that basically brought out her entire curved shape with a little rip to the knees and a baggy t-shirt that... not to judge... but had an image that definitely suppressed the meaning of God.

She looked beautiful regardless but I do wish she would change her shirt. I walked a short distance towards her and gave her a small embrace. "Hey there." I smiled and gave her the tulips that I felt like were sitting in my sweaty palms for ages.

"Hey." She nervously mumbled and looked towards her sister in a little bit of fright. "Um... This is my sister Iyanna," She pointed. "I know, we met earlier," I nodded and she shook her head.

"Christian." Iyanna warned and Christian stared at her as they were communicating with their eyes. I've never been so confused in my life.

"Okay." She finally let out and led me out the door with a gentle push.

We walked to the car and I opened the passenger door for her and ran over to my side to get in. "What was that about?" I curiously asked. "Nothing important." She sighed and I decided to respect it if she didn't want to tell me. "How are you?" I looked over at her to give my full attention while checking up on her.

"I'm better now." She gave a half smile. "And you?"

"Better too."

I started the car and began driving to the park which was 12 minutes away from Christians home. I put on goodness of God on the radio and Christian was quick to change it to some rapper.

"You could've asked you know." I changed the station again and allowed my finger to tap against the steering wheel with a rhythm.

I heard her humming to the music and realized how low she was trying to sing along so I wouldn't be able to hear her.

"You like this song?" I looked towards her and saw a faint smile make its way on her face. "I do."

"That's surprising," I joked.

She did not like that joke clearly and I am guessing was offended also.

"Sorry."

We made it to the park and for some reason Christian wanted to be a kid again and play in the sand. I obviously followed behind. Whatever she did just seemed so admiring and adorable and I couldn't stop looking at her. We have only known each other for at least a week now but she is such an amazing person.

"How was school?" I asked placing a chip in my mouth. "Good actually. I am struggling a bit with math right now which sucks, but I am getting some help from one of my friends." She rocked her body side to side while chewing on a chip. "I can help too if you want. I would say that I am good at the topic." I suggested and she agreed.

I really do want to help her. It would mean that we can spend more time together. I was too busy daydreaming when I felt something soft hit my nose. I looked up and saw a strawberry sitting by my feet and knew Christian had thrown it at me jokingly.

"Hey!" I laughed and went to grab the strawberries from her hand but she was one step ahead of me and began running away from me. I chased after her and to be fair... I was faster but I allowed her to feel good about herself for a while. Why not?

I tackled her to the ground hoping not to hurt her too much and she just laughed like her life depended on it. I ended up laughing as well because of how contagious her laugh is. The strawberries were now all over the sand but we didn't really care.

I gave her a playful nudge and got up off of her and helped her up. "Are you alright?" I brushed my jeans off and she hit my chest gently and nodded. I wrapped her in a hug and felt so relaxed being in her arms. I'm happy when I'm with her. I had removed my head from the nape of her neck and looked into her eyes. Our face inches apart.

I wanted to kiss her. I needed courage to ask to kiss her. Come on Rome do it. Ask her.

"Can I kiss you Christian?" I whispered and she nodded confidently.

I slowly brought my face closer to hers and placed our foreheads together before I connected our lips in slow harmony. I had placed my hands on her waist and deepened the kiss at a different angle. The taste of the strawberries that she had and a hint of mint hitting my throat. I felt her trying to add more heat to the kiss and I decided to slow down and pull away.

"Sorry, lets slow down yeah?" I rubbed the nape of my neck and she nodded. I held her hand and showed her some of my favorite things to do while at the park. I never actually come to the park much, but my brother does so when I take him I guess we have a lot of fun.
