~Rome POV~

It was Monday Morning and I was just finishing up breakfast and placing my backpack in my car to head to school.

"You excited man?" My dad asked.

"Of course, let me tell Isaac bye so I can head out, I wouldn't want to be late for my first class. I love you dad." I patted his back and went to Isaac's room. He was on his video game with his headphones in so I knew that he wouldn't be able to hear me.

I walked towards him and removed one side of the headphones from his ear and gave him a hug.

"Imma see you later kid." I shuffled his hair and he swatted my hand away.

"Stop calling me that Rome!" He laughed and gave in to the hug.
"Nah," I chuckled.

It was fourth period and the day was almost over and I was physically drained. It was the first day and I already have like 5 pieces of homework and one group work which is being assigned inside of the class I am in now... History.

"Alright, I want you all to pair up please. It would make my life easier instead of putting you with someone that you don't want to be with." Ms. Edward shouted.

I sat there in my seat trying to gain the confidence to ask someone to be my partner when a girl came up to me instead. She was uniquely pretty with green eyes, dark brown hair and tan skin.

"Hey, what's up?" I smiled and she gave a shy wave. I gave a slight chuckle and pointed to the seat next to me. "Sit down, I don't bite." She let out a small giggle at my comment and sat down.

The period had ended and I was able to find out that her name is Mallory and I got her phone number as well. We thought that it would be easier to contact each other if anything and we were planning on when we can meet up to do the work. I also was able to break her out of that shy bubble in a matter of minutes. She was quick to show her bubbly personality and it was the cutest thing ever.

We both realized that we also have a lot in common due to me liking painting and she likes to draw. It reminded me of Christian a bit where we both found out we enjoyed painting at the beach.

She didn't have a ride home, so I agreed to take her home because why would I leave her here? We walked to my car and talked and I opened her side of the door for her. She gave me her address and we were on our way.

"You're so kind. Thank you." She looked flustered and I didn't even say anything as yet. "It's no problem Mallory."

"Take the turn right up there, my house is to the left." She pointed and I nodded my head.

We got there and she got her backpack from the backseat and sat still in the seat as if she was waiting for something. "Thank you." She thanked me and I nodded my head. "I promise that it's not a problem. I enjoyed getting to know you and I hope we can hang out more." I encouraged and she gave a nod and got out of the car as I waited for her to make it into her house.

I got home around 4:45 p.m. and heard my phone ping with a notification. I picked it up and noticed Christian texting me.

Chris: Hey you.

I also have her saved as Chris in my phone because it sounded cool.

Me: Hey, what's up? :)

Chris: nothing much actually, I was wondering if you wanted to hang out today?

I looked at all of the homework that I had placed on my bed and sighed. I actually do want to hang out with Christian. I had a lot of fun with her yesterday. I contemplated on either doing my homework or taking an hour or two out with Christian.

Of course I chose Christian. I am starting to like her a little more.

Me: I thought you found me annoying?

Chris: I do. In a good way.

Me: Where do you want to meet up?

Chris: Uh... well I was thinking the park. You can pick me up if you want since you have my location now.

Me: I'm on my way.

I placed my phone down and washed my face and put some mouthwash in my mouth to freshen my breath.

I grabbed my car keys with a small groan, gave my dad a head ups and now I have a curfew and then I headed out the door to pick up Christian.
