~Rome POV~
I was parked in front of Christian house as she gathered everything she needed from my car to go inside. It was now 9:30 p.m. from since we have been out.
"I had a good time. Thank you." She smiled and leaned in and placed a soft peck on my lips.
"I did too. I'll see you tomorrow?" I hoped with excitement lacing in my voice.
"Yes, of course."
I watched her walk to her door and give a wave goodbye. She had such a huge smile on her face, it warmed my heart knowing that I made her happy. I waited until she got inside and then I pulled off and drove home.
~~
I got home and went inside to meet my dad getting ready to head out to work I suppose.
"I made it official." I swung the car key around my finger with a huge grin on my face.
He laughed and gave me a pat on the back. "Thought you said that you both are just friends? I'm about to head to work. I'll see you later. You better treat that girl well," He opens the front door to walk out, "And I want to meet her one day too!"
I nodded my head to no one in particular because he was already out the door and I just headed to my room.
I jumped in my bed and fell right asleep from how tired I was.
~~
I heard my phone ringing at 4:00 a.m. and wondered who in their right mind thought it was a good idea to be calling at this hour. I looked at the caller ID and it was Mallory. Why is she calling me right now? It must be an emergency if anything. I answered just incase it was.
"Hey, is everything okay?" I asked hoping she's alright. "It's fine. Rome I'm sorry for waking you up but I need your help. I got in an accident on Bolton street and I need a ride home please." She pleads and I really wonder why the heck she is even on the road at 4 in the morning.
"I'm on my way." I rush out and hung up to wash my face, brush my teeth and put on some clothes.
I ran to my car and drove all the way to Bolton street to see that she was truly in an accident. It was her dad's car too so I knew that she was in for a lot of trouble. I called a tow truck and then opened the door for Mallory as I took her home. "Where were you going? How did you get into that accident?" I questioned and raked my eyes over her body to make sure there were no severe bruises. There were none besides a few cuts on her arm. I had a tissue box that I would keep in my car just incase something spilt, but she can use it to clean the little bit of blood draining. I passed it to her as she was about to respond. "Thank you, I was actually going to Victoria house because I left something important by her and needed it urgently, but the car ended up speeding right into me and then drove off," She sighed. "A hit and run." I announced and looked over at her one last time to make sure she was alright.
I saw the dry tears on her cheek and felt terrible that not only was she in trouble by her dad, but she seemed scared.
"How mad do you think your dad will be?" I questioned trying to find a way to get her into less trouble. "Very mad," She responded as I pulled up in the yard of her house. I lowered my head not sure of what else to say. I was going to blame myself on the damage of the car, but I can not lie. I have been reminding myself to not lie as much as I can. "Well, goodnight Rome. Thank you." She half smiled.
"Good night, take care of yourself Mallory." I smiled and waited for her to get into her house.
