African Wild Dogs are one of my favorite animals. They're sleek, strong, smart, and scarily good hunters. But, despite all that, they're so energetic and playful. I love their beautiful patterning and big ears! I knew when I got my iPad that at some point I would draw one, and it appears that we have reached that point.
I wanted to capture the alert, dynamic energy I so often see in them. I went for a more stylized look, and, to be honest, this is one of my favorite pieces of art I've made.
