"Ben." Klaus stated wearily. Ben looked at him confused as Luther stepped forward. "Is that really you?" He asked. Ben just followed with another confused look.
"And who are the weirdos on the balcony?" Diego shouted. "They are the Sparrows. My children." Dad replied. The house rumbled as we looked up at them confused.
We turned around to look at Dad. "I'm sorry. What do you mean, your children?" Five asked. "That's not possible, old man." "Of course it is! I think I'd know, wouldn't I?" Dad replied as the Sparrows came down to meet Ben.
"Everybody else can see Ben, right?" Klaus asked. "Yes Klausy." I replied. "Cute hat, Sundance." Ben said to him. "Haha good one Benny!" I laughed. He glared at me as if disgusted and I glared right back.
"They call themselves the Umbrella Academy-" I cut him off. "No you called us the Umbrella Academy you old bastard!" I yelled to him. "That's right we're Team Zero!" Diego said I looked at him and shook my head no and patted his shoulder. Dad rolled his eyes and continued. "A group of scheming, perfidious malcontents who accosted me in the fall of 1963 when I was away on business in Dallas. Be warned, they claim to be my spawn."
"Not like we wanted to be!" I sassed. Allison stepped toward Dad. "Claim? Look, Five, what the hell is going on?" She asked turning to Five. "I don't know yet, but it's concerning."
"Is he telling the truth?" The front runner asked. "Not the part about us being perfidious." Vanya corrected. "No, we're amateur-fidious, at best." Klaus double corrected. "But we are his children. This is our house." Vanya finished.
"Yeah, yeah. We, uh...we grew up here." Luther agreed. "Yeah, we grew up here." The weird looking one mocked as the other Sparrows snickered. I went to lunge for him but Five grabbed me.
"I kind of think we would have noticed you." The blonde one stated. Luther looked at her. "Hi. I'm Luther." He smiled reaching his hand out. She just looked away awkwardly and gave a little smile.
"Okay. None of you belong here." Allison said stepping forward. "Oh! Well, then. I guess we'll just pack our bags and move out." The blind one said and the floating cube followed with weird noises. The Sparrows laughed in response. "You slay me, Chris." Ben said to it. "That thing has a name?" I asked aloud.
We heard familiar footsteps and turned and saw Mom walking in with a tray. "I wasn't expecting company. This is the best I could do on short-short...short notice." She sighed and glitched as Diego stepped forward. "Mom." He whispered.
"Mom? She's a robot, you perv." The dark haired one stated. "It's not a robot." Diego defended. "Hey, don't you call him that." Luther defended Diego.
"Or what?" Ben asked. "Why don't you come closer and find out." Luther egged on. "Luther!" Vanya scolded. They started bickering. "Guys chill!" She continued. "You think I'm afraid?" Ben asked. "Stand down Ben." The front runner stated putting his arm out to blocked the two from maiming each other. "Look at that! She's got a voice!" Luther continued to argue so naturally we all argued too. "How bout I hide that big Rubik's Cube up your ass?" Diego asked joining in. "Enough!" The front runner shouted as the dark haired girl spit black goo onto Diego's cheek.
"I don't know what circus you escaped from or how you got past our security, but we're done here. You got 30 seconds to get out of our house." The front runner said. "And if we don't?" Allison challenged. "Then we'll have to settle this the old-fashioned way." "Look, we just fought a literal army. Okay? This doesn't need to get ugly. Let's all just calm down. and let's talk." Vanya stated being the voice of reason.
"Psst. Ben-er-ino. You look so much better alive that you do dead. Am I right?" Klaus said. "Except that haircut." Ben looked at him baffled and offended. "What the hell did you just say?" He asked. "Come on, come on. Stop with all the hostility, Mr. Grumpy Pants." Klaus said walking up to him. "Oh wow. Nice scar. Muy macho." He added. "Shut your mouth!" He yelled. "You shut your mouth and just hug your brother-" Ben punched Klaus and he flew across the room and slid over a table onto the floor.
