I woke up and saw Five sleeping and holding me. I missed the little things like this.
I laid there for a while and just enjoyed it. Later on Five woke up as well.
"Morning." I said.
"Morning." He said yawning and stretching. I giggled at his morning voice.
We both got up and got ready for the day. I opened my bag and saw my military uniform inside. I let a tear fall.
"You okay?" Five asked. He must have seen the tear.
"Yeah. I just miss my friends at base. They are my brothers and I'm gonna miss serving with them." I said.
Five stayed silent. I pulled out and outfit for the day. It was a simple. Just some knee length tight denim shorts with a black shirt tucked in and a black belt with some simple black sneakers to match.
Five put on his regular Umbrella Academy uniform. I wonder if he will ever stop wearing it. Though he does rock the shorts, blazer, and knee high socks.
We both walked out and everyone had left. We just sat on the couch and caught up. Well I caught him up cause he technically is the same age as the day we time traveled here.
I told him all about how I got into the military and of course told him about my military brothers and all the fun times we had.
"It sounds like you lead a good life here." He said. I could see it in his eyes though he was upset. Just like the time when he said he didn't know what he wanted in his future. (haha throwback)
"Yeah I did have a pretty good year but there was one thing missing from it. Do you know what that is Five?"
"No." He said.
"You, Five. It was missing you. Do you know how many nights I spent lying awake missing you hoping you would come back. Or how many days I spent searching for you. You were the one missing piece in my puzzle Five. And now that you are back I'm whole again." I said to him.
He hugged me and we sat there for a while just cuddling and talking. Then Elliot came in.
"Hey, you have mail." He said.
Me and Five looked at each other confused and sat up. Elliot handed us the envelope and we opened it. It was a letter from Dad. He wanted to meet with us for dinner tonight.
"Finally a chance to talk to the old man." Five said.
"No. I'm not going."
"What? Why?" Five asked.
"Five you know what he did to me and you know how much I hate him. He is gonna say something that is gonna make me lose it and I will not do that." I said.
"I will help you keep yourself in check I promise. Please just come with me." He begged.
"Fineeeee. But if we end up not saving the world I'm killing him before Doomsday does." I said. He laughed.
"Alright it's settled." He said.
We waited around all day and finally it was time to leave for the dinner.
"Five I don't know if I can do this." I said. He grabbed my hands cause I was fidgeting with my fingers.
"You will be just fine and I will be here for you. Just stay calm and keep your emotions in check." He kissed my forehead and I calmed down.
"Okay let's go." I said. We walked hand in hand to the address listed on the invitation.
We arrived outside and looked at the building. I was getting nervous so the wind was picking up, little roots were coming out of the ground, ice was forming under my feet, the clouds looked rainy all of a sudden and my hands were getting hot ready to make a fire ball.
