I woke up to the sound of pans crashing making me shoot up from my sleep. I instantly felt a raging headache and an ache somewhere else. I then heard Five groan. "Why?" "Five, please tell me we didn't do it in this messy ass kitchen." I groaned massaging the bridge of my nose. I then had flashbacks of memories from last night. "Never mind, I know the answer to that." I sighed. "Is that what I got up to last night?" "That amongst other things." I said laying back down on the floor.

"What was the old man up to?" Five asked out loud as I tried to get up. It was very difficult but I stood up. "What?" I asked him. He got down and we held onto each other as we walked and he explained what he saw.

"Well isn't that interesting." I said as we got to my room. "Okay, I'm gonna go grab a shower, some pain meds, and regular clothes. I'll see you later." I said going to walk into the room. Five grabbed my wrist first.

I turned around to look at him. "If- If I took advantage of you last night...I'm sorry." He said not meeting my eyes. "It's fine Five, you did nothing wrong we were both very drunk, consenting, kind of adults." I joked. He sighed in relief. "Thank god." "Yep, now go get cleaned up." I said kissing his cheek.

I walked into the room and it was empty so I grabbed some clothes, nothing much just a black t-shirt, some jeans, along with a black jacket, and some sneakers. I took my stuff with me to the showers and took a nice warm shower and then got ready for the day before heading out. I stopped by the front desk and bought a Plan B off of Chet because I wasn't sure if me and Five had used protection or if he pulled out at least so to be safe I took it. (there will be no pregnancy here!)

I went to the buffet and I found Five there drinking again. I took the bottle from him. "Hey!" "Eat first then drink." I scolded. He sighed and grabbed some food for me and him. I smiled and kissed him. "Thank you." He hummed and began to eat. Once we were finished he looked at me and I sighed and handed him the bottle. He smiled and kissed me again and grabbed my hand.

He walked us outside and we sat on the edge of...well everything and let our feet dangle as we drank cuddled up together. "This isn't so bad for the end of the world." I commented taking another drink. "No, it's not." Five said kissing my head. I handed him back the bottle and he took another drink.

We then heard footsteps and looked up and saw Dad. "Great, way to ruin the mood." I complained making Five laugh. He then looked up at Dad, "Reginald." "I take it you know why I'm here." "How 'bout I save you some time? Give you the no upfront. We're not the least bit interested in this bullshit plan that you've been cooking."

"It's not, as you so colorfully called it, bullshit. Mind if I join you." He asked as Five took another swig. "Yes." I answered. "Yeah, we'd appreciate some...solitude." Five said but was too late cause Dad already sat down. "Or ignore our requests..." I said. He hummed. "It seems we won't get any." Five handed Dad the bottle.

He took a sip, "Dear God!" Five just hummed. "Louis XIII, it ain't." "I've had worse." Dad said putting the bottle down making Five pick it up and hand it to me. "It is impressive, isn't it?" Dad asked looking at everything as I took a big sip.

"All the ways we could have screwed the pooch, this way is the most complete. I'm relieved, actually. This time, everything goes. There's no Commission, no leaping away. No life spent going mad with the desperation to see a familiar face." He gave the bottle back to Dad.

"I've seen worlds end in ways that would knock your socks off, old man." Dad told Five after taking another sip. "Wow! Reginald Hargreeves, you never cease to surprise me." "That is some comfort. You know, they all run together after a while. But you never forget your first. Your home. Your original sin. You never stop wondering, did I do enough to save the people I loved?" "Did you?" Five asked picking up the bottle. "No, but I was hoping you children could help me out with that." "And there it is." Five said taking a drink.
