On April the 1st, 2019, the Earth was destroyed in a cataclysmic event. Billions of people were wiped out in a matter of minutes. Ironically, the seven survivors of the apocalypse were the very siblings who brought it on.
March 20th, 1962
I fell out of the portal and onto concrete in an alley. I look up into the portal to see no one falling with me. Then the portal closed. I got up off the ground and looked around.
"FIVE! KLAUS! DIEGO! VANYA! ALLISON! LUTHER!" No one answered.
"Ben...?" I said even though I knew it was useless. I was alone. I walked out of the alley and saw an old woman walking down the street.
"Excuse me, mam?"
"Yes, dear?" She said nicely.
"I know this may sound strange but, could you by any chance tell me where I am and what the month, date, and year is?" She looked at me like I was crazy.
"Well...this is Dallas, Texas and it's March 20th, 1962." She said puzzled. My face went white out of shock.
"I-Um...Thank you...very much." I said walking away.
"Damn you Five." I whispered to myself. I looked around and I stuck out like a soar thumb. I went to a clothing store and used the little money I had left to buy a time appropriate outfit.
It was a navy blue quarter sleeve body suit with tank top black button dress over it and some black heeled combat boots. (So kinda like Lila's outfit.)
I walked out in my new outfit and now I looked like I somewhat fit in. "Well shit, now what do I do?" I asked myself.
I decided to walk around and try and find the others. 1962 Dallas, Texas looked cool. I liked the old timey vibe. But I had to stay on task. I looked for hours and nothing. No trace of any of them.
It started to get late and I realized I have no where to go. I thought for a little bit. The island! It's the only place I've got. I know it well, I know how to survive, and it's free!
I walked into an alley and tapped the ground twice to make a hole to the island. I jumped in and poof I'm back on the island.
I walked to my campsite only to realize it hadn't been built yet. Time to build another one I suppose. I used my powers to raise rocks from the ground to make walls and a roof. I left a tiny space for a door. I then grew some plants over the rock to make it more pretty.
It wasn't big it was just tall enough to fit my 5'2 self and it was only one room, enough to fit a bed. I raised some rock from the ground to form a type of bed thing.
I walked out and grabbed some leaves from the trees. I placed them on the bed and layered them so I'd be comfortable enough and grew some vines around them and the bed to keep them in place.
I did the same thing to make a pillow. and then wove some vines together to make a blanket. I walked out of my shelter once more and grew some vines over the door frame so when I walked in it be like one of those cool beeded doors that you could just walk through.
I then flew to the lake and washed all the dirt off me from the previous events. I used the air to dry off a put my clothes back on and flew back to camp.
From there I made a vine covered rock chair outside and grabbed some wood and had a fire ball light the wood. I sat in front of the fire for a while.
I thought about everything that had happened. Mom, Pogo, The Academy, Vanya, Five, and the others. A single tear made its way down my cheek. I wiped it away.
