Longer chapter and I am in LOVE with how it turned out.
________

A tear ran down your cheek as you threw the last bit of your things into a box, letting it fall as you taped it closed.

"Are you almost ready, dear? Your father has the car running." Your mother asked, her voice calm knowing today was hard for you. Today was the day you left for college, all the way in New York. Approximately 1,132 miles away from your best friends and the man you've never gotten to tell your true feelings to.

"Mom...I-" You choked on tears, stopping your voice in your throat before you could speak further. She pulled you into a hug, swaying you back and forth as you cried on her shoulder. Memories of you, Dream and Sapnap racing through your mind. This was a mistake. This is not how you wanted your life to go. You wanted to stream, tell Dream how you felt, stay with the Dream Team. "I can't do this, this isn't me." You cried, squeezing her as tight as you possibly could.

"Is this about Clay?" She asked, pulling you away from her while holding you at arms length. Of course, your mother knew all about your feelings for your childhood best friend. "Maybe some of it, this doesn't feel right." You said, sitting on the edge of your bed, she followed sitting right next to you keeping a comforting hand on your shoulder. "College isn't me. Streaming is me, interacting with my fans is me. The four of us started this together, I can't just leave. My people are here, in Florida."

"What do you want to do? Do you want to go or stay?" She asked you, she's always been one to support whatever you decided in your life. Your father being the same, only wanting what was best for his little girl. Without responding you checked Snapchat to see Dream had sent you a snap, a picture of him at the airport saying 'I'm so sleep deprived I might fall asleep and miss my flight'. You took a picture of the box sitting next to you labeled 'miscellaneous' and replied 'george would literally kill you'. Setting your phone in your lap you looked up at her.

"I want to stay. And I want to tell Dream how I feel. Right now." You stood up, grabbing your purse off your desk and swung it over your shoulder. "Isn't he on a plane going to see your guys' friend?" She asked. You rushed her up and out of the room, following quick behind you down the hall.

"Less talking, mother. We've got a plane to catch!" The two of you ran to the car, you jumped in the back seat and clicked your seat belt on.

"Dad, no time to explain. Get us to the airport as fast as you possibly can!" He gave you both a strange look but your mother smacked his shoulder, "Drive old man!" She yelled, rushing him to put the car in reverse.

"There's no way I'm going to make it. We're thirty minutes away and his flight boards in twenty!" You yelled, checking the gps for an alternate faster route. You saw Dream had snap chatted you but decided to ignore it, knowing the surprise of you staying would make up for it.

"Oh you'll make it." Your father said, he got on the interstate booking it into the fast lane. Your mother caught him up to speed on the whole 'not going to college and confessing your feelings to Clay' situation and let's just say, he was more than ecstatic.

The vehicle screeched to a halt at the entrance of the airport, you scanned the signs for his terminal. "If you run you can make it as long as security isn't busy." Your mother said, giving you a quick kiss on the cheek as you jumped out of the car. They drove away to find a proper parking spot as your feet smacked against the ground, carrying you as fast as they possibly could.

You jumped into line at security, of course it was busy, you'd have to charm your way to cut in line. With your shoes already off your feet and in hand you tapped on the man's shoulder in front of you and he spun around.

"I know this is really strange but the man I'm in love with is about to get on a plane and I really need to catch him before he boards." You did your best puppy dog eyes and his face fell into a smile, gesturing for you to jump in front of him. "Let me help you out a bit." He said, you smiled at him as a thank you.

"Let the lady through, a real life movie scene is about to take place!" You giggled a bit as people looked at you. To your surprise they began to let you cut in line. Once you reached the metal detector you babbled on to the lady working the machine.

"So you're telling me you've known him since you were five and never told him you loved him?" She asked, you shook your head no as you stepped out, slipping your shoes back on. "Nope, never."

"Go get 'em girl, that flight is boarding." With those words you took off sprinting again, not caring that to most people you looked absolutely crazy. Your eyes scanned everywhere, looking for what you knew Dream was wearing.

That's when you spotted him. The tall dirty blonde stood in line with a carry on and backpack on his back, wearing his favorite OU sweatshirt.

"Dream!" You shouted but he failed to hear you. You took off sprinting again towards him. "Dream!" He was about to board when he spun his head in the direction of your voice.

"Y/n!?" He yelled back, surprised to see you were there. "What the hell are you doing here?" He asked as you slowed to stand in front of him.

"This." Confidence and adrenaline pumping through your veins you stood on your tippy toes, cupping his face in your hands as you smashed your lips onto his. His body relaxed under your touch, letting his hands grab your waist and squeeze a bit, pulling your body as close to his as he could. You pulled away and locked eyes. "I know this is terrible timing but I'm in love with you. You don't have to worry about saying goodbye anymore because I'm staying. Fuck college, fuck New York. I'm staying. And I want to stay here with you."

"Flight 227 last call for boarding." The voice spoke over the loud speaker. Dream was in shock, standing completely still, staring at you.

"When I get back in a week I'm taking you on the best date of your entire life." He didn't hesitate to scoop you off the ground, wrapping your legs around his torso. You pulled away so you could look at him, huge grins on both of your faces while people around you began to clap. "I'm also expecting your things unpacked and in my house when I get home."

"Promise." He pulled you into another kiss before setting you down so he wouldn't miss his flight. As you backed away he waved to you.

"I love you!" He shouted as he boarded the plane.

"I love you too!"

I guess it was time to go unpack your things into your new home.
