The one. (pt. 3 Dream)

My eyes were going back and forth as thoughts raced, getting jumbled together every which way.

On one hand I had Sapnap, an amazing, funny, genuine guy who I don't doubt loves me with his entire heart.

Then I had Dream, the man who's been in love with me this entire time and has been so selfless. Watching me be loved by someone other than himself, patiently waiting for the day he could be the one making me smile.

"I..." I began to say, twiddling my thumbs in my lap, both of them watching as I tried forming words into a coherent sentence, "Sapnap, I need to figure out what these feelings for Dream mean, what they are."

"I get it." He said, placing one hand over mine before giving it a tight squeeze. He stood up, looking between his best friend and myself, "I'm gonna go stay with Karl for awhile, let you two have some space."

Dream entered the room, walking up to Sapnap and offering him a hug. Without hesitation Sapnap shoved his body into his arms, holding him tight.

"Treat her good, man, I know you will." Sapnap said, giving me one final look before going to his closet and grabbing a duffel bag. Dream exited the room and I went to follow, "I'm sorry, Sapnap."

He looked at me with tears in his eyes, "Don't be sorry, your happiness is priority." Giving him a soft smile I closed the door behind me, leaving me and Dream in the hallway alone.

"C'mon, let's get your mind off of it." Dream held out his hand for me to take, I hesitated at first before sliding my hand into his, letting him guide me down the hallway.

After a short drive we found ourselves at a park, which had trails leading to beautiful scenery. Dream exited the car first and hurriedly came around the other side to open the door for me.

"Thanks." I stepped out and the door closed behind me, the weather was perfect today. Not too hot, not too cold, just perfect. Both of us began walking towards a trail as our arms bumped each other's every couple seconds, causing us to snicker like middle schoolers.

"I feel horrible." He said, looking down at me as I walked, "I never should've said anything, it was easier keeping it a secret."

"Was it though?" I argued, "For all we know we could be each other's soulmates and you're upset you admitted your true feelings?" As if I had done it a million times I grabbed Dreams hand, interlacing our fingers together as we walked.

"The idea of you being my soulmate is all I've ever wanted, Y/n. I mean it when I say I love you." He said, stopping at a clearing to look over the water. The sun was glistening off the waves. I turned on my heels and let my head rest against his chest, wrapping my arms around him.

"I know you do and I love you too, I really do." My eyes looked up at him, "So let's figure it out together, no more secrets. Everything out on the table."

"I like the sound of that." His voice was low as his fingers glided across my chin, lifting my head up a bit as he met my lips half way, kissing me.

Whatever the future had to hold we would figure it out, together, as one.
