This one shot was a request from someone who would like to stay private. You know who you are, thank you for this idea❤️

Here is my interpretation of 'Must Have Been The Wind' by Alec Benjamin.

I will be including actual quotes from the song!

I did add a bit to the end since the song technically never comes to a 'closure' so I hope you enjoy that.

P.s. in my opinion, if you don't know the song this one shot will still make sense.

You know when they say 'New Year, New me?' Well I took that saying a bit differently, new apartment, new me. A fresh start. With the last box being brought in by Sapnap I patted his shoulder, "Thanks, dude."

"I think this is good for you, taking time to yourself, focusing on your music. I like it." He said, George following quickly into the apartment.

"You're moving back in though, right?" George asked for what felt like the millionth time. I laughed at his worry and reassured him, "Of course, like Sapnap said, this time alone is needed."

"If you need us, just call. We're literally like twenty minutes away." Sapnap said while I ushered them to the front door. I was excited to be left alone so I could start unpacking.

"Okay, mom." I joked with him, watching as they entered the hallway of the complex and looked back at me. "I'm still coming back for Taco Tuesday every week."

"Good." George replied, "Stream later?"

"For sure, bye guys." I waved them goodbye and closed the door to my apartment. My apartment. Of course I'd miss being around them all the time this was needed. I needed to get away from the spotlight for awhile and really focus on my music and myself.

Hours went by before I realized I was practically done unpacking. I hadn't brought that much to begin with, just the essentials. One of those being the gaming set up from the extra bedroom at the Dream Team house.

Jumping on discord I saw they were already in a call and joined, "Hi, idiots!"

"Dream is here!" George cheered, I had his stream open on another monitor and saw the chat speed up at a rapid pace. "Say 'hi' again, Dream."

"Hi." I said softly, I looked over to see the chat once again speed up.

"Let's play phasmophobia!" Sapnap suggested and I groaned, I hated that game. I hated the adrenaline it gave me, always making it impossible to sleep at night.

"No way, I hate that game." I argued, seeing the chat practically begging for us all to say.

"Just one round." George begged, he only wanted me to play so he could make noises and try to scare me. He did it every time. And, unfortunately, it worked every time.

"Pleaseeeee." Sapnap begged.

"Ughhh, fine! One game!"

The three of us were currently running away from a ghost in the basement, screaming because of the jump scare that had just happened. That's when I heard glass break, the shatter coming from above my ceiling. I paused for a moment, listening to make sure it didn't come from the game but it definitely didn't.

"I'll be right back." I said and quickly muted, taking my headphones off so I could listen better. That's when I heard it again, the sound of glass shattering in the apartment above mine.
