Fluffy cause why not
______________"Hey, babe, do you remember what website that shirt was on that I liked?" Clay asked from the table, he was currently on his phone getting frustrated he couldn't find it. With my hands in the sink washing dishes I used my elbow to point at my phone on the counter.
"It's on my phone, I have it pulled up." I said, going back to doing the dishes. I heard him shuffle behind me and grab my phone, jumping up and sitting on the counter next to me.
"Wattpad? You have Wattpad?" He snickered. My eyes widened as he jumped off the counter, I frantically tried drying my hands before he could go on the app. "Give it back!" I warned. No way I was letting him see what was on there.
"Dreamwastaken x reader, a love story." He read aloud, holding his hand above his head as I watched him scroll through my library, skimming over all the titles of the books I've saved. "You read stories about me?" His laugh echoed through my ears as my phone came down into my hands, I held it to my chest and felt my cheeks get warm.
"Maybe." I said quietly. "In my defense, your fans are really creative!" Before I knew it the phone was snatched out of my grasp as my boyfriend bolted down the hall and into our room. I heard the lock click and gave up, sliding down the wall and leaning my head against the wood.
"Ooh! What's this oneeee." Dream chimed in a sing song voice and he went silent, "You're writing one too? I gotta read."
"No! Dream, please don't!" I pleaded through the door. He went silent again. This is officially the most embarrassing moment of my life.
"Wait a second, babe?" He asked. I heard some shuffling then the door unlocked, he slowly opened it, his eyes still on my screen, "Is this about us?"
I grabbed my phone and turned away from him, looking at my screen. It was, in fact, a story I was writing about it.
"I read the description and it's exactly how we met." His voice trailed off, a look of curiosity on his face.
"Are you mad?" I asked worriedly, "I can take it down—"
"No, absolutely not, you have half a million reads!" He cheered excitedly, "Will you let me read it?"
"It's nothing you haven't lived before, literally," I joked, making us both stifle a laugh, "It's about how we met and all the bullshit we've went through to get where we are now...I don't know, I sound ridiculous."
"No, baby, you don't," He put his arms around me and wrapped me in a hug, "I think it's sweet and if it's something you enjoy don't stop doing it."
"Promise you're not mad?" I asked again, looking up at him as he towered over me, my phone still held close to my chest.
"I promise I am not mad, what is the next chapter about?" His arms let go of me as he stepped backwards and sat in his gaming chair. My expression lit up seeing he was actually invested in my writing.
"Remember what date we went on? At the beach?" He nodded, "I'm writing about how I thought you were going to propose, then how ridiculous I felt when you didn't."
"Y'know I had a ring with me, I just didn't feel like it was the right time. We had too much going on." He said softly and I nodded, he was right. Our lives were hectic at that point in time, adding an engagement would have just stressed us out more, "Maybe next chapter?" He asked.
My eyes widened as my smile grew. I stood up and sat on his lap in the chair, one leg on either side of him, "That sounds perfect."
