This one shot idea will be in all three of my books titled the same, "Life" so if anyone wants to go back and read them it'll be easy to find. They will also have the same format, Y/n's age breaking the sections apart. I really hope this makes sense & you enjoy!

It was late and I knew I should be studying for Mr. Smiths test tomorrow but couldn't keep my eyes on my history book any longer. The sounds of my brothers annoying video game creeping into my room, the walls in our house were incredibly thin. With frustration boiling inside me I stood up, letting my history book fall onto my bed as I opened my door and went to his room.

"Dude, shut up, it's eleven o'clock at night!" I scowled at him, my sudden presence causing him to jump and spin around.

"Hang on a sec, Clay—" He took his headset off and looked at me, "If I be quiet will you give me a ride to school tomorrow?" Of course, leave it to my brother to ask a favor after pissing me off.

"Fine, whatever," I groaned, "Just keep it down." He nodded his head and returned to his game. I walked quietly back to my room and shut the door, changing into pajamas and organizing all my books back into my backpack.

The entire night I was tossing and turning, trying my best to fall asleep as my brother broke his promise. It was three o'clock before I slipped into the darkness.

My six am alarm went off and I had to pry myself out of bed, feeling like an absolute zombie the entire time I was getting ready. After I was ready for the day I knocked on my brothers door, not getting a response I twisted the knob and saw him fast asleep. "We're gonna be late! Get up!" I grabbed a random item off his desk and threw it at him, startling him enough for him to fall right off his bed.

First period was halfway over when we finally opened the double doors to the school, rushing to our class. Unfortunately my brother shared the same first period as I did.

"Welcome to class, take your seats!" Mr. Smith greeted as I tried my best to not make a grand entrance, quietly sitting down at my desk right in front of my brothers friend.

"Late again, dude." His friend, Clay, leaned over and said to my brother.

"My sister drives slow." My brother joked. I spun around and gave him a death stare, "You were still sleeping when I was ready, don't blame this on me. Maybe next time don't stay up all night playing video games and actually sleep." I gave Clay a side eye glare and turned back around, being reminded of our test as it was sat on my desk.

"Great." I whispered to myself, earning a small disappointment glance from the teacher before putting my head down and starting.

As the day went on I was slipping in and out of sleep at my desk, which thankfully, was at the back of the class.

"Y/n! Are we having trouble concentrating?" Mrs. Jones asked, causing the entire class to turn and look at me as I straightened myself in my sleep. Random pieces of hair sticking to my face from the drool that has accumulated on my cheek.

"Mrs. Jones, she hasn't been feeling well all day." Clay commented, I gave him a strange look before going along with it and looking at the teacher. "Do you want to walk her to the nurse?" She asked him, Clay nodded his head yes and gathered his things. He walked over to me and grabbed my backpack and books as well, grinning at me as I stood up.

"Why'd you lie?" I asked as we walked down the empty halls, except Clay turned in the opposite direction of the nurses office and towards the exit of the school, "Where are we going?"
