*one year later*

"Babe?" Clay chirped from above me, I was currently laying on his lap on the couch attempting to take a mid day nap. I swear I was like a toddler, if I didn't take naps throughout the way I'd be cranky as all hell.

"Mhm." I hummed, keeping my eyes closed because I had no intentions of waking up. My body turned towards him as I snuggled in further to his abdomen and folding my hands beneath my head. I heard the click of a camera, then the sounds of a picture printing, "You and that damn Polaroid."

"Adding it to the wall." Clay waved the picture so it would develop faster and I peaked one eye open, seeing him smile at it. 'The wall' is in his streaming room, he started it four months ago when we moved into this house. He writes the date on the Polaroid then sticks it to the wall like makeshift wallpaper. It was an obsession the both of us had, at least two pictures a day and we've been dating for a year so that means 730 Polaroid pictures.

"What are you gonna do when your office walls are filled?" I questioned him as I forced myself to get up, interrupting my own nap.

"I'll cover every wall in this house with your beautiful face, inside and out." He squeezed my cheeks and pulled me in for a kiss, I smiled into it, "I'm gonna go stream though, do you wanna come?"

"You go start and I'll grab snacks." After agreeing he grabbed my hand and helped me off the couch as we separated in the kitchen, him going to his office and me grabbing various snacks I'd want. Once I felt like I was equipped with enough food I traveled down the hall to his office, creaking the door open and laying on the small bed he had against the wall.

"Comfy?" He snickered as he turned around and saw me bundled under the comforter, shoving my face with a Dorito. I began laughing and nodded my head yes, humming 'mhm', "You're too cute."

"Talking about me again?" Sapnaps voice made us both jump, neither of us knowing he joined the call.

"How'd you know?" Clay joked and slipped the headset over his ears so now only he could hear him. I liked that Clay enjoyed me being in the room while he streamed, it means he trusted me enough to also enjoy the things he loved and although I didn't become a full time streamer, I did hop on his from time to time.

An hour went by as I mindlessly scrolled through all my socials, edited some pictures, and stalked celebrities. Suddenly a call from an unknown number called, a Miami area code. I tapped Clays chair with my foot and when he looked to me I held my finger to his lips to signal for him to be quiet for a minute.

"Hello?" I asked into the phone, making sure to put on my 'professional' voice.

"Good afternoon, is this Y/n L/n?" A voice asked, it almost sounded like a voice I recognized. Then it clicked. Two months ago I auditioned for a show and my stomach did flips thinking maybe today was finally the day I got a call back.

"This is." I confirmed.

"It's Josh with Studio 9. We've watched your tape tens of times over and I wanted to bring you out for a second audition!" I froze, excitement filled my veins as I slowly stood up off the bed, the smoke I tried fighting spread across my lips.

"Absolutely! Thank you so much!" I thanked him and tapped my toes in excitement.

"I'll email your agent the details, have a good rest of your day, Y/n. Can't wait to work with you!"

"You too!" Hanging up the phone Clay gave me a confused look, "I just got a callback!" He jumped up, getting just as excited as me and pulled me off the ground in a hug.

"I'm so proud of you!" He beamed.

"Oh my gosh, I have to call Caroline and get the details. Are you going to be okay with the dogs if I go for the weekend to Miami?" I paused and right when he began speaking, I began stressing again, "No way, that's too much for one person. We could always have George and Sapnap come out? Oh! Maybe Karl, he adores the dogs. I have to make sure—"

"Babe," Clay tried stopping me, "Y/n, hey," He grabbed my face with his hands, "Look at me, it's all going to work out. We can figure it out one step at a time."

"I'm freaking out, Clay." I said nervously as I lifted my hand to my lip and began biting at the skin around my thumb nail, a horrible anxious habit, "This is my first callback after two years of auditioning. What if they meet me and hate me? I'm not nice sometimes, I have resting bitch face."

He chuckled, "They're going to love you." His lips kissed my forehead and he grabbed his headset off the desk, "Hey guys, I'm gonna hop off. Y/n's got some stuff to take care of and needs my help." I'm assuming they all said they're goodbyes because a moment later he left the call.

"You need something to help you relax. Let's go take the dogs to the pond." I grabbed his hand and felt some of my anxiousness wash away from knowing how much he loved and supported me. After feeding Patches we walked out the front door and began walking to the separated garage we had for the foster dogs we take in. It was a fully finished, insulated garage, honestly more like a little house.

I opened the door and was instantly greeted by my ten fur babies, "Hi, Gunner." I greeted and kneeled down to scratch his ears, he was a yellow golden retriever, "You too, Max." The German shepherd nudged at my arm until I gave him well deserved pats. Running around like crazy was the rest of the dogs, including me and Clays first fur babies, Smokey and Luna. Then we had Zeus, Mercedes, Juno, Oliver, and the siblings, Zip and Zap. They came as a pair and we couldn't bare to separate them.

After some struggling we finally got all their leashes on and began walking down the gravel path to the pond. It was a little ways behind our house and the dogs favorite way to beat the heat. As the Florida sun warmed my skin I smiled, I genuinely was in awe that this was my life.

"I swear, Smokey always has to be the leader of the pack." I joked as Smokey stood front and center of the group of five dogs I was walking.

"I wonder where he gets that from." Clay nudged my shoulder with a laugh because of the joke he had made.

"Ha ha, very funny." I replied sarcastically. Seeing the pond the dogs began getting excited, letting out barks and tugging a bit harder, "Juno, calm down, bud, almost there."

Suddenly the dogs became a jumbled mess, weaving in and out of each other, barking left and right out of excitement. Some dogs wrapping around me as I twirled around and tried to unravel myself.

"Need some help?" Clay snickered and began walking closer to me, "Here, just—" We were cut off by the dogs circling us, essentially trapping both of our legs within the leashes. We were in an all too familiar tangled mess.

"This seems familiar." I huffed as my chest got pressed against Clays, "Only thing missing is us falli—" I guess I spoke too soon. The dogs took off on a sprint for the water as both Clay and I got thrown to the ground. I sat up and rubbed the back of my head, seeing all the dogs with their leashes still attached running towards ducks in the path.

"You were saying?" Clay asked as he sat up next to me, our shoulders resting against one another.

"Falling." I finished my sentence with a quiet chuckle and leaned my head onto his shoulder, taking a moment to reminisce on the deja-vu that just occurred, "Only thing that would make this moment even better is if you kissed me and told me some cheesy line about how much you love me, just like in the hallmark movies." I flashed a grin up to him. He looked down and brushed some hair away from my face from the wind.

"I love you," He placed a kiss in my forehead, "more than anything," Then one on the tip of my nose, "in the entire world." Finally granting me a kiss on the lips I felt my cheeks get warm, "And I'm so lucky to have met you."
