The next morning Elyse got ready, still thinking about that letter, she went though breakfast not really saying anything. Amos and his wife didn't seam to notice.
Around 11:20 A.M. Elyse and Amos left the house and walked down the the farmer's market. When Elyse got there she was shocked. It was like there were hundreds of people, all walking around looking at things.
"Come get your strawberries here!"
"Fresh apples, come and get them!"
"Sale going on now, two bananas for a Pound and three bananas for a Euro!"
That last sentence got Elyse's attention. "Mr. Diggory, what's a Pound and a Euro?"
"It's money, like the American dollars." Amos answered. Amos and Elyse walked through the crowds of people stopping at stands to get fruit to make a smoothie.
"Mr. Diggory. I did not expect to see you here." Elyse turned and saw a man in black robes with long blond hair. He also had a black cane. but it seamed as though he used it for decoration. She also saw that same blond haired boy that was in Diagon Alley.
"Hello Mr. Malfoy." Amos greeted with a smile. "I'm here because before term starts, Elyse here, and I are going to make a smoothie."
Mr. Malfoy turned and looked at Elyse. "Hello." His voice was deep and seamed cold. "I am Mr. Malfoy. Who are you?"
All of the sudden she felt like shy, like she was starting kindergarten again. "I'm Elyse Colston sir." Elyse said with a small smile. As soon as she said her last name, Mr. Malfoy's eyebrows went up a little bit.
"Colston, ehh? Why are you here? I've never heard of you before." Mr. Malfoy answered.
"Lucius, Elyse is here by request from Dumbledore." Amos answered.
"What year?" Lucius asked.
"Huh?" Questioned Elyse.
"What year are you in girl?" Elyse heard the blond haired boy laugh, so he wacked him with his cane and Elyse had to stifle a laugh. "Don't laugh Draco. It's not nice."
"Yes Father." She heard the blond haired boy, Draco say.
"So, what year are you in?" Lucius asked again turning her attention back to Elyse.
"I'll be starting my fifth year sir." Elyse answered.
"Ahh, same year as Draco. Now tell me, who are your parents?" Lucius asked.
"Lucius, why question Elyse about that. That was random." Amos piped in.
"I just wish to bloody know Amos!" He some what yelled looking straight at Amos Diggory. "Well?" He asked, again turning his entire attention on Elyse.
"Mary and John Jacobs." Elyse answered, which caused Lucius to raise his eyebrows. "I was adopted when I was a baby sir."
"Understandable." Then Lucius turned to Amos. "Good day Amos. See you on Monday." With that he and Draco let.
Amos continued on like nothing happened, and Elyse followed him. They walked more and then when home. They went into the kitchen and put bananas, apples, red and green, strawberries, blueberries, mangos, and other things needed. They made the smoothies and Elyse noticed that he never mentioned or talked about what had happened the previous day.
Once Elyse had finished her smoothie, Amos had to quickly rush to the Ministry so she went up to her room to read, when she got there she saw another letter. She recognized the handwriting. It was from Dumbledore. All that was inside was a ticket to the Hogwarts Express at King's Cross Station on Platform 9 and three quarters. She didn't think much of it. "Must be an English thing." She thought to herself. There was also a letter inside. It was just saying how she would board the train, and how she would sit with someone named Daphne Greengrass, who she would follow around. Once she got off the train, the letter said that she would follow the first years to get sorted.
