Chapter 24

"I wanted to tell you that if you wanted, a few days you could come meet mother and father but it's up to you." Louis said.

Elyse was taken back from that, "What, why?" She looked at Louis and he nodded.

"Well, after I visited you in the hospital I had a talk with mother. She told me that I could tell you that you could come. She told me that I had to tell you in a letter, but since I don't know who could intercept it, I didn't want to risk it, so I decided to tell you in person." Louis explained.

"How does no one recognize you?" Elyse asked.

"Well, because of who my uncle is, well our uncle, I can change what I look like. I'm not a metamorphmagus, I just can change things. You probably could too if you tried." Louis looked at Elyse and watched her twist her ring.

"Wait," Elyse stopped twisting her ring. "who is my uncle?"

"Well, I'm not really supposed to tell you." Louis's face reddened, realizing his mistake.

"Too late now. Tell me." Elyse persuaded. 

"Fine I'll tell you." Louis stopped.

"Come one. Tell me." Elyse begged.

"He- Who- Must- Not- Be- Named." Louis said quietly.

"What? I didn't catch that." Elyse leaned closer to Louis.

"Lord Voldemort!" Louis threw this hands on Elyse's shoulders. "I wasn't supposed to tell you."

"What? What do you mean that he's my err, our uncle?" Elyse pulled Louis's hands off her shoulders.

"Mother."

"Huh?"

"He is mother's brother."

"He has a sister? Why doesn't anyone mention that?"

"Mother and father didn't want that to be what everyone saw in their King and Queen. They didn't want that fact to ruin their image."

Elyse and Louis talked for a few more minutes before Louis had to go back for dinner.

A Few Days Later, July 7th, 1996

At The Castle

Elyse walked up to the front door of the castle. When Louis said that his house was big, she didn't expect it to be this.

Elyse knocked on the door and waited.

And waited.

And waited some more.

Then the door creaked open and a lady was standing there. She looked like a maid.

"Hello there. Are you Prince Louis's guest? Miss Elyse?" The maid asked.

"Umm yes?" Elyse said but it came out as a question.

"Mary, this is Elyse. My guest." Louis appeared in the door.

"Prince Louis, my apologies sir." Mary bowed.

"It's Lou, but thank you. I'll take care of it from here. Please let my parents know." Louis said and Mary bowed again and left.

Elyse did a double take. It was Louis but he cleaned up. His hair was slicked back and he was in a nice dress shirt and dress pants.
