Alex's POV

I could feel something warm below me, I just didn't want to open my eyes to see what it was. If I opened my eyes that meant I had to get up and start the day. I heard the knock on my door, and I felt the fingers running through my hair, I just thought those things were in my imagination. There's no way anyone would be considerate enough to knock, and no one would be gentle with me. They were all monsters, every one of them. No one in my pack cared about whether or not I was okay, the only reason they put up with me was because I made their food and I was the only one who cleaned up after them. That's why they kept me. I couldn't shift, I couldn't fight, and I couldn't even keep my own mate. The one person destined for me, the one person guaranteed to love me... hated me. I heard the door open and four sets of footsteps walked in. I expected someone to wake me up with a slap or a punch to the face, but when nothing happened I began to get curious. I opened my eyes a little and saw nothing but a chest under my head. When I lifted my head I saw the faces of the four men who took me in after they found me on their territory. Tab and Myles looked at me, expecting something, and Tyler and Zack were smiling like they were looking at puppies. I then looked at what I had been laying on, or rather 'who' I had been laying on. I was nearly speechless...

"Morning." Kole said with a small smile on his face. I felt my cheeks heat up and could bet that I was red in the face. Kole was in my bed, shirtless and he looked like a god. He slept here with me, in my bed, with me laying on top of him.

"I'm sorry." I looked down and avoided eye contact with everyone in the room. I was suddenly feeling very warm, five guys were in my bedroom, and I didn't know what to expect. My concentration went to the bed spread, it was a light brown with white and light blue piping on the comforter. I studied it for a while, like it was the most interesting thing in the room.

"Why are you sorry?" I heard Kole ask. I didn't look up at anyone, I just kept my head down and answered.

"I didn't mean to fall asleep on you." I said quietly, but I knew they all heard me. Stupid wolf hearing.

"Well, I'm sorry too." My head shot up to look at Kole. Why was he sorry? I fell asleep on him, I was the one who made him uncomfortable. He must have seen the confusion in my face because he answered some of my unspoken questions. "I didn't mean to fall asleep in your bed. I just figured you'd be a little more comfortable if someone was with you through the night." I frowned, he was more concerned with my comfort than he was for his? He didn't care that I had slept on top of him for who knows how long. He just wanted to make sure I was okay through the night. I was about to say something when someone else in the room clears their throat quite loudly.

"Breakfast is ready downstairs if you want some. Everyone else has already left and we have a lot to get done today." Tab said as he looked from Kole to me then back to Kole. He smiled then shooed everyone else out of the room. When the door closed I slowly looked back at Kole to find that he was already looking at me.

"How are you feeling this morning?" he asked me, his eyes filled with concern and worry as he looked me in the eye.

"I'm okay." Just as I said that I made a move to sit up and felt a sharp pain in my lower back and sides. I sucked in a quick breath and closed my eyes quickly as I waited for the pain to pass. I must have made a noise because Kole sat up and looked at me with even more worry.

"What's wrong?" His voice was enough to tell me he was truly concerned and scared. I couldn't exactly pinpoint what was wrong, I didn't know, but I did know it hurt.

"Mnh... pain." Was all I managed to get out before another wave of body aches hit me.

"Where?" I shook my head and tried to get my breathing under control.
