Chapter Fourteen: The Bathtub pt. 3

Third Person POV

----------------------

Once they got everything they needed to the gym where the rest of the gang had the pool set up and to the perfect temperature, the three cut open the salt bags and dumped them into the pool. After a few bags were dumped into the pool, Dustin used an egg to test if the team put enough salt in the pool.

When the egg sank, Hopper, Natalie, and Jonathan added more salt to the pool. After the addition of three more bags, the egg began to floating, amazing the group. Mike set the walkie-talkie on a metal table that was stationed next to the pool. Mike cranked the sound all the way up while Eleven began taking her socks off.

Joyce stood next to Eleven as she held on to the goggles that were duct taped while Natalie collected the girl's items. Natalie handed Mike his watch as she was handed it. Mike strapped his watch back on as Eleven was handed the goggles. Once the goggles were strapped on, Joyce and Natalie helped guide Eleven into the pool safely without falling over.

Eleven made it to the middle of the pool before letting go of their hands and sitting down. Natalie and Joyce sat down; Joyce next to Nancy while Natalie sat down next to Hopper's stretched out leg. Hopper placed a comforting hand on her shoulder as Eleven's body began to float in the kiddie pool.

The lights began to surge; flickering in and out in the gym as Eleven started to work her magic. Not long after the flickering, the lights went completely out causing Natalie to scoot closer to Hopper as he wrapped his arm around her shoulders.

Eleven opened her eyes to see her standing in a black room. Eleven slowly started to walk trough the black room, taking in her surroundings. "Barb? Barbara?" Eleven called out causing Nancy and Natalie to pay more attention to the girl. Eleven began walking towards the body she believed belonged to Barbara. When Eleven reached her body, she backed away in fear as a bug slithered out of Barb's opened mouth.

Eleven began panting in fear causing the lights to flicker once more. "What's going on?" Nancy questioned the group.

"I don't know," Mike replied, not sure what was exactly happening.

"Is Barb okay? Is she okay?" Nancy called towards Eleven, worried for her best friend.

"Gone! Gone!" Eleven called out repeatedly in fear as she grabbed the sides of her head, to calm herself down.

"It's okay, it's okay, it's okay," Joyce tried to calm Eleven down who was fidgeting in the pool. Nancy had her hand covering her mouth in shock with tears were building up in her eyes after hearing Eleven's words.

Natalie ignored Hopper's comfort hand and pushed herself forward to grab Eleven's other free hand, that didn't have Joyce's hand in a hope to calm the girl down.

"Hey, it's okay," Joyce repeated as Eleven gasped out more. "It's okay, we're right here. We're right here, honey."

Eleven looked around in shock as she heard Joyce's words. Eleven slowly began to calm down to the point where the two ladies let go of Eleven's hands. Eleven opened her eyes and saw a fort of some kind.

"Castle Byers," Eleven muttered out as she read the sign that was above the fort. Joyce looked over at Jonathan who was shocked by Eleven's words. Eleven slowly peeled back the curtain and began to enter the place. "Will?" Eleven questioned as she bent down to the ground.

Joyce let out a gasp as she heard her son's name being mentioned next by Eleven. Eleven watched over a passed out, sleeping Will who looked cold and wet.

"You tell him... tell him I'm coming," Joyce muttered to Eleven in hopes she could relay the message.

"Your mom...," Eleven stuttered out, "she's coming for you."
