Chapter Seven: The body pt. 2

Third Person POV

-------------------------

Natalie arrive home from the police station at the perfect moment. The home phone began to ring as soon as she set down her bag on the kitchen table. Natalie walked over to the phone and answered it, hoping it wasn't Hopper on the other end. "Hello?"

"Hey, do you have those photos that Jonathan took on you?" Nancy quickly asked as she held up her photo she taped back together.

"Yeah, why?"

"Tape it together," Nancy ordered as she readjusted the phone that rested on her shoulder.

"Okay..." Natalie muttered confused, "one second." Natalie placed the phone down on the kitchen counter before opening the drawer in front of her that had a roll of tape in it. Natalie quickly raced up the stairs and went to her bedroom, grabbing the jacket she was wearing when she picked up the ripped pieces.

Natalie rushed back down the stairs, taking them two at a time before rushing over to the counter setting down pieces and building it back to what the original picture looked like. Natalie taped the picture together before letting out a gasp, noticing a creepy blurry image standing off the the corner, watching over a crouched down Mac. Natalie picked up the phone and whispered, "what the fuck is that?"

"I don't know, but I want to find out. Meet me at the funeral house. I have an idea who can help us," Nancy responded into the phone as she placed the taped up photo into her bag.

"Who do we know at a funeral home who can help us?" Natalie muttered confused as Nancy hung up the phone, ending the conversation. "Lord bless us." Natalie gently folded the newly taped photo in half, making it easier to shove into her pocket before heading out of the house.

Nancy had to wait a few extra minutes for Natalie to show up, due to her house being a little further away, but when Natalie arrived both girls walked inside the building slowly. Nancy guided Natalie towards the room where the funeral home kept all their caskets for grieving families to look at. "Can you just give me a second?" Jonathan questioned the funeral director as he made eye contact with Nancy and then Natalie.

"Of course."

"Hey," Jonathan greeted the girl as he tucked his hands into his front pocket.

"Hey," Nancy and Natalie spoke up softly. "Your mom, um... she said you'd be here," Nancy informed Jonathan.

"I just..." Nancy took a deep breath before pointing outside, "can we talk for a second?"

Jonathan nodded his head and followed the two girls out to the hallway where an empty bench was located. Nancy and Jonathan sat down next to each other while Natalie stood in front of them pacing. Natalie and Nancy had given Jonathan the photos that he took and pointed out the creepy image in the background.

"It looks like it could be some kind of perspective distortion," Jonathan started as he started at the two photos. "but I wasn't using the wide angle. I don't know. It's weird."

"And you're sure you didn't see anyone else out there?" Nancy double checked.

"No," Jonathan shook his head no. "She was there one second and then, um.. gone. After she vanished, I only saw Mac come outside and look around before I went to turn around to leave but glanced over my shoulder to make sure no one saw me and that's when I noticed he was gone too. I figured they bolted or something."

"The cops think that she ran away," Nancy informed Jonathan.

"It's bullshit and not even Hop believes me," Natalie added as she continued to pace.
