Chapter Twenty-Five: The Spy pt. 2
Third Person POV
-----------------------
The trio arrived at the junk yard and admired the view. "Oh yeah, yeah, this will do. This will do just fine. Good call, dude." Dustin smiled at Steve's words before rushing over to his side. Natalie trailed behind and threw down some more pieces of meat, gagging at the sound they made as they made contact with the ground. "Nat, bring me your bucket."
"Okay," Natalie responded, walking over to the middle of the junk yard to meet Steve. Steve quickly grabbed the bucket and dumped the heavy remains onto the ground causing Natalie to wince at the noise once again. "Now, this... this is my official reason for why I never eat any meat products," Natalie informed the group as they stared down at the large pile of chopped up meat.
"I said medium-well!" Lucas called out, making his presence know as the trio glanced up to see him and Max.
"Who's that?" Steve asked, eying Max.
"Oh my God!" Natalie exclaimed as she put the pieces together.
"Shut up!" Dustin whispered yelled at Natalie, giving her a harsh glare. Steve looked over at Natalie, giving her a confused and curious look.
"Max, hey," Natalie greeted her with a wave as no one else addressed her being here. "Why don't you help me out while Steve handles the boys?"
"Okay," Max smiled in agreement before following after Natalie. Lucas and Dustin were stationed behind a rusty red car, talking while Steve gathered other supplies.
"You told her?"
"So what?"
"So what?" Dustin repeated back annoyed.
"You wanted to tell her, too."
"But I didn't, all right?" Dustin fought back. "We all agreed not to tell her and to look for Dart."
"Who you conveniently found."
"Are you suggesting that I'm lying?"
"I'm saying, you have a creepy little bond with him," Lucas pointed out to his best friend.
"Yeah, that was before he turned into a Demogorgon."
"And you haven't heard from Mike?"
"No."
"Or Will?"
"No," Dustin shook his head no.
"Hopper?"
"No! Nat hasn't seen him in days. No one is around," Dustin replied with a sigh. "Why do you think I'm with Steve Harrington? Something's-."
"Wrong? I agree," Lucas cut off Dustin. "Which is why we need as much help as we can get." Just then Max was grunting, trying to lift a metal scrap up off the ground. Natalie came to her side and helped her, setting it against the bus.
"She didn't believe me anyway," Lucas informed Dustin.
"You probably didn't tell it right," Dustin teased Lucas.
"That must be it," Lucas sassed his best friend, glaring at him. "So we good?" Lucas stretched his hand out towards Dustin. Right before Dustin could decide, Steve came over and bashed a metal chair against the car, startling the two boys.
"Shit," Dustin muttered out in shock as they looked up at Steve.
"Hey! Dickheads! How come the only ones helping me out is this random girl and Natalie? We lose light in forty minutes. Let's go." When the boys didn't move, Steve spoke up louder, "Let's go, I said!"
