The government is now working to make abortions illegal throughout America. I'm honestly really angry at this. Even in the case of rape, insest, and ectopic pregnancies they are trying to force the full term pregnancy and birth.

The people making these decisions are not even people who could carry a fetus (most women, trans men, afab non-binary people).

More importantly, if someone was dying, you couldn't force someone to give up their organs to save them. So why does the child bearing parent have to give up their body to sustain life for the fetus?? You can't take organs from a dead body without the consent of that person before death, so you can't make someone give up their body to carry the unborn without their consent! How is it that a dead body has more rights (in that perspective) than the parent?!

In other cases, forcing the child to grow up in a house where they know they aren't wanted is more traumatizing than the abortion. The fetus has no feelings or emotions.

And for the people who ask, "how would you feel if your mom aborted you?" I wouldn't know. For all i can say, i could have been aborted in a past life (that is if I had a past life). I wouldn't have blamed anyone for it because I don't know the situation.

Lastly, I'm not saying you have to get an abortion, or even have to like the thought of it. I will not get an abortion, and I don't enjoy anything about it. I'm just saying that there should be a right to choose.

Thank you for coming to my ted talk.
