Perfection Isn't Real

I have a different side

That I tend not to show.

I sometimes act quite childish

And I've been picked on for it enough

So if I'm childish with you, I'm comfortable

I've given you full trust

And as for that word...

I'll give it way too soon.

I'll trust and end up broken,

Then sit crying in my room.

I will overthink everything,

Sometimes pulling myself away.

I'll believe that everyone hates me,

But only have myself to blame...

I'll get scared that I'm the reason

That we wont be close for very long.

I'll find myself yelling at the stars,

Asking them where we went wrong.

So if you want to date me,

Please keep things in mind.

Know perfection isn't real,

And broken is the best you get."
